I have over 28 years of caregiving experience and a heart for others. Especially those that reach a place in life, where care becomes needed. Part of my overall caregiving experience includes: Handicapped care, dementia, Alzheimer's & memory challenged clients. Hospice care, medication assistance & reminders and helping with all sorts of mobility needs. I am also individually focused on monitoring clients needs, and/or changes, along with companionship. I can provide personal transportation and assistance to activities and appointments, including doctor appointments, as well as pre & post-op surgery care. I offer experienced caregiving in all aspects of life and I truly enjoy working alongside families and my clients for all the different reasons care becomes needed. I love to laugh and also help my clients laugh, smile and enjoy their lives, no matter what phase of life they may be in. Making others comfortable and at ease with every person and their families are of utmost importance to me, as each are very unique and special.
I am organized, detail oriented, a multi-tasker, prompt, trustworthy, creative, dependable and also a non smoker.
My goals will always be, seeing those I care for and their families quality of life improved, stress relieved and working with individuals and their family's to make that happen.

My family, friends and co-workers know me as a caring, positive person who tries to find logical solutions to daily problems. I have always been a helper- whether it's assisting an elderly neighbor or taking care of neighborhood children.
I like figuring out how to make a person's wish a reality- going for a country drive, cooking a favorite meal, making a craft or enjoying the arts. I find satisfaction in a job well done, and it's important to me to make sure I fully understand a client's physical and emotional needs.
One thing I'm most proud of was being a caregiver to a client who ultimately passed away in 2007. He had been institutionalized and heavily medicated for most of his adult life before being placed in a group home situation. He was nonverbal and had cognitive and physical disabilities. I was proud to be on the team that helped him develop strategies for his PTSD, provided calming routines that reassured him, and figuring out his likes/dislikes and wishes. Ultimately he was able to travel to Disneyland and Hawaii, go camping, shop at his favorite stores, have clothing altered to accommodate his short stature and receive help in creating photo albums and keepsakes.
Caregiving can be a difficult job, but I am grateful for the amazing people and experiences.
