I am patient and detail oriented, and attentive to patient care. I wanted to become a caregiver once I realized, how many people in the world are in need of care. I also realized how many people are being neglected when it comes to patient care, so initially I wanted to provide the proper care to people in need. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is providing and satisfying patient care needs, and creating a bond with my patients. I am proud that through being a caregiver I was able to also go to school, and receive a diploma in Medical Assisting. It has pushed me to want to further my education in medicine.
My goal is to provide care for you or your loved-one with skill, experience and warmth. I have 25 years of experience giving care to all age groups, but have a special preference for caring for our elders. I value and respect that every client is unique and has his/her own personal preferences and needs. My approach is low-key and I welcome direction from the client and family while offering suggestions when appropriate. I understand the patience and dedication it requires to build the bond of trust, but this bond is essential to giving good care.
Hi I'm Nikiea and I provide quality care for people of all walks of life. I became a caregiver looking for experience to enter into the hospital field. Once I got here is just absolutely loved taking care of people it just comes natural to me. I have been in this film for just about 3 years now and I was recently awarded DSP of the year for the state of Oregon. Helping people in their daily lives and getting the out and about to explore the community really moves me. I love helping people become their best selves.
In home caregiver 2+ years. 5+ years in clinic medical assistant, private family practice, pulmonary specialist, pediatric care. I have loved and learned so much doing each of these very different types of medical caregiving and I only look to do this with a warm heart, trained hands and a listening ear for years to come! I may have 'found my calling' after turning 30, but every day I go to work and help with all kinds of changing & new treasures Of our lives like: a 55yr old patient newly dx. with diabetes who already has high blood pressure & doesn't know how to get information/help with either. Or maybe a sweet elderly 87yr old who just learned some unexpected link between two medical needs they have or when I get to aid in a walk in medical emergency and I hear they end up being ok. I have also been overwhelmed with joy and rewards of the heart when doing in home care and seeing progress and healing to return to life as the patient knew before accident or injury that brought me to their home . The most amazing stories of life long before I was here or life in another country and the changes to our lives now I get to share in with some home health, caregiving elderly patients I hold close to my heart and makes me smile! This is my personal touch side that I love to share with my patients and enjoy as the medical assistant is keeping care of the body.
Hello I am salandra. I have been a caregiver in an assisted facility for almost 8 years. I started off as a waitress in the dining room and decided I wanted to work with my residents one one. I enjoy helping others and knowing I'm having an impact on someone's life. I also finished school as a medical assistant.
Hello, My name is Paula Scarcelli. I recently decided to head back down to sunny California . I came from raising my daughter in Portland, Oregon for 18 years. I am a caregiver and medical assistant. I am very proud to have achieved this goal at 46 years of age. I am very grateful for the support of my family in this endeavor. I did my externship at the Samaritan Women's Clinic and I really loved the ladies I worked with there. Since I graduated from my MA program I have found that I prefer to work with people one on one in their home to make a difference for them and their families. This way you or your family member can have the attention deserved as opposed to the rushed feel of a doctors office. I feel more fulfilled in the long run as well. The larger corporations are more about the profits then the patients and I am not. I became a medical assistant to make a difference and to help others and that is what I am seeking to do! I love people and I work well with the elderly and disabled because of my background with both. I love people, travel, music and I am extremely empathetic. I am a lover of the arts and enjoy my own hobbies in the arts. I work with both male and female. Hope to hear from you soon.
I became a caregiver to serve a definite need for compassion, to actually care. I feel I make a great caregiver because I pay attention to detail. I answer my internal question; what would I want if I were the client? All of us are going to need caregivers some day if we want to remain independent and in our homes. It's hard to ask for help. I try to make it easier to ask help. A smile goes a long way. This is why you want to hire me, I love to give good, nursing care.
Hello, My name is Rochelle. I am a mother of an energetic 5 year old daughter. I took an interest in being a caregiver watching my sick uncle being taken care of by great caregivers and watch how much support they were to him. I also went to carrington college here in Portland Oregon, I worked as a medical assistant for 2 years in a family practice setting. I enjoy being a caregiver/medical assistant because I'm a passionate and loving person, I'm motivated to make other life's better.
