In high school I studied Allied Health Science and later became a Nursing Assistant. I loved it. Every day was a new challenge and completing each challenge was its own reward. Although I would have to say that. I thought it was awesome that a gentleman stopped me in the grocery store to tell me thank you for saving his life. He said continuing to do CPR until help arrived although everyone else walked away saved his life. All I could do was think about how bad felt knowing that guy died

What makes me a good caregiver is my personality and my work ethic. I am likely to find things to do to keep myself busy and keep my client busy with things they are able to do. I have worked with people with all ranges of abilities and I can easily adapt to new situations. I tend to find the silver lining in situations and my clients like that I am just an overall happy person. I know when to encourage and when to back off as to not exhaust my clients when they are trying to complete an activity. I like having open communication with family members so they can stay up to date on their loved one's progress.

I feel I have a gift of a servants heart especially to the elderly. I am a hard worker and I go the extra mile to increase my clients quality of living. I believe each clients needs are different and my goal is to meet those needs on an individual basis. I not only work for the client but I become their friend and companion.
