I enjoy helping people, and comes very natural to me. In my spare time I enjoy swimming,biking, reading,and hiking.

What helps me be a great caregiver is being who I am. I was born with great compassion for overs and their well-being. As a young child I've always helped my older peers with their disadvantages in life or their disability. Caring comes naturally to me being a mother and grandmother. Giving endless love and company. What attracts me to being a caregiver would be me knowing I'm able to help someone and I'm able to make their life easier and possibly to change their life for the better. I enjoy being in the company of someone that feels alone and useless. Letting them know I care for them and I'm there to listen an talk about their needs and wants. I am proud of the mother and grandmother and caregiver I became in life. I'm a very dependable and dedicated person once I set a goal I achieve it an go beyond.

I've been a CNA for 19yrs & a Caregiver for over 30yrs. I love taking care of people; learning about peoples lives & encouraging them. I love doing Respite Care. I love to interact with pediatric, geriatric & babies.

I have been in the medical industry my entire life. Caregiving is definitely the most rewarding part of the industry for me. I love making later life more liveable, enjoyable and worth while to seniors in the final years of life. I am energetic, compassionate, capable and loving all in one. I love to help and serve, and enjoyed helping my aging parents in their later years. They were unable to leave their residences, so I was more than happy to do errands for them, do some cooking, and make things neat and tidy. I also enjoy getting to know people and learning of their history, and life stories. It makes me feel good to be able to help someone out. My favorite personal achievement is raising 3 service dog puppies that are placed with the disabled.

Being a caregiver is the start to being an excellent nurse. I am currently working on my nursing degree and would like to gain more experience as a caregiver in addition to my education.

I grew up on a dairy farm in rural Pennsylvania. I have worked in healthcare since I graduated high school. From nurse aid , medical records, front office staff , surgical scheduler, and certified ophthalmic assistant. My farther was an amputee and my mom had dementia. I cared for them both at home until they moved to assisted living and eventually skilled nursing. I know how to navigate and fight for the proper care of your loved ones within the healthcare system. I would be happy to assist you in the care of your loved ones. I enjoy animals and would be happy to help with those as well.

I am a go getter, I enjoy conversation and I enjoy what I do. I believe myself to be a very sympathetic and empathetic individual and that makes me a great caregiver because I can help my client by relating to their issues and reassuring them things will be ok. I am attracted to being a caregiver because I want nothing more than to help people. I believe every person is beautiful and they all share their own unique stories. I love to hear them all. I am proud that I can say I have been doing this work for over seven years and I wouldn't change it for the world. All the people I meet are amazing and wonderful people. I go home every night feeling accomplished that I might have made a difference in somone's day.

I have been working for Partners In Care in Grass Valley, working both in home health and at the assisted living facility Eskaton since the beginning of this year. I have worked as a babysitter and nanny, caring for children for several years. I am currently in my final year of a Physical Therapist Assistant program and will be beginning my internships this month. I have the skills necessary to transfer, ambulate with, and bathe seniors in a safe manner. I am very compassionate and wiling to do the extra work to assure safety and to provide a comfortable and positive environment for those I am working with. I am CPR certified. I used to have my Wilderness EMT certification and was a ski patroller. I feel that I can handle emergency situations well. I am passionate about doing the best I can to make the lives of those around me a little bit better.
