Being a caregiver has always been in me since I can remember as a child I've always wanted to help someone. As long as I'm able to make a difference in someone life a smile to physically and mentally is an accomplishment to me. I proud myself on given 110 percent.

I consider myself of being a great caregiver because I have a good personality, I'm always smiling, I do not take any of my social or personal life to my job, I never leave a job that I haven't finished and if I get in a situation that's complicated I will take all the time it takes to figure out the problem, I am very dependable and always on time, I have patience and highly respect my clients or elders. What attracted me to being in the medical field was that I am a loving person that care and enjoy helping people with their daily needs. After I helped my mom take care of my dad almost 23 years ago, who was diagnosed with prostate cancer, that's all I've had a passion for every since, traveling from client to client. I really enjoy the companionship and some of the funny stories my clients have to tell about the past,. I like to make them feel that it's somebody in the world that still loves and cares for them and have no problem with helping them if needed. I thank God for letting me be able to do the job I do and the caring and loving person I am.

I became a caregiver when I realize, no one else was going to be able to fill the needs of my granny, Granny had a stroke and blood disease but was ok .. I was in Atlanta about to open hair salon with my best friend, Meanwhile I get call from my daughter granny wasn't getting any better. A week later I went home to visit granny as I walked around the house and saw how poorly she was managing, I knew I had make a difficult choice. I walked away from my business ... and put my life on hold. as it were to care for my granny who have giving so much to this world ..It was a choice , but it was also true that choosing not to help her was not an option , Not a choice and obligation to the one we love.. Before granny pass she would always say to me .. you are God's choosing one.. Love ! After that I took care of my best friend mom,,and my neighbors love ones .. I've always know my calling was to help others at the same time I knew I wanted to be caregiver

I am a very happy Christian woman overall, when I take care of others either cleaning there homes or taking care of them personally when they are not well and can't do for themselves. Very satisfying when they appreciate your companionship as well as your care.I took care of my mother for several years with a chronic illness. (deceased).

What makes me a great caregiver is I love to care for the elderly and I truly love them for who they are and I go above and beyond to make sure that they are comfortable and well taken care of. I became a caregiver because I've seen and her of a lot of elderly abuse. I didn't like it so I became a caregiver for all the ones that I care for will always know that they are loved. I like being a caregiver because the elderly need someone who cares and love them no matter what that's me. I enjoyed being the one to give them that love back. My biggest achievement is that I had two clients with dementia / Alzheimer's and I always hesitated about taking care of these particular patient. I did a wonderful job with the help of God, patience and love and care. I learn that they are still people just like the rest of us they just need a little bit more attention and patience to care for but they are worth every minute.

I have been in the health care setting for over twenty years. I learn at an early age from my mother about how important and rewarding it is to take care of the elderly. My mother toke care of her mother and father and aunt and uncle. She brought them in her home and toke care of them. I helped her with them. Then I brought my mother and my father in my home and toke care of them with help of my husband till they pass in 2009. I've worked at three different hospital over twenty years. I am now 56 years old and work as a caregiver. I enjoy my job it is very rewarding work. I was also a foster parent so I enjoy children as well.
