I am a very outgoing and loving person which I was born naturally into. I always come with a beautiful smile and great energy ready to bring joy to everyone. The thing that really drove me to be a caregiver was always having to be a helping hand and care for my grandmother and uncle. Once I realized the help and care my grandmother needed after being diagnosed with cancer it drove me to want to give everyone around me the love and care they deserve. I enjoy bringing the positive and loving energy. Knowing they can count and depend on me to do what needs to be done. A personal achievement I am proud of is my motivation and how I've continued to move forward in life .

I'm a very caring, fun loving person. I'm honest and very dependable. I truly enjoyed working with the elderly, I treat them as if they are my own family. I'm easy going. I very eager to learn new things.

I genuinely love people, I don't care about the color of your skin, I just see people. I have been taking care of people in my family all of my life, I enjoy doing for others and seeing the smile on their faces. Putting a smile on someone's face who wouldn't usually smile. I nursed my mom back to health after she had her leg amputated from complications of Diabetes, I helped her get her life back by working with her every day until she got strong enough to use her prosthetic leg on her own, now I cannot slow her down.

At the age of 18 I was introduced to caregiving. I am now 31 years of age and have continued my career path as a caregiver. I originally became a caregiver so that I could go in and care for my elderly disabled cousin when she first moved to my area, however I was never placed with her, but I was hired and placed with other clients and it was almost like second nature to me, I absolutely loved it so that's when I decided to take the caregiving career path. So far it has been a success and I've learned so much and am now able to care for many different types of cases with ease. My skills go beyond caregiving though, I also have worked in an emergency room as an emergency room technician which allowed me to gain more knowledge within the medical part of care. while I was working there, I acquired certifications in BLS/First Aid/AED use, EKG technician, Drug screening and breath alcohol testing, as well as picked up many skills in behavior health, orthopedics, heart care, stroke care, wound care, and so much more. My favorite thing about caregiving is knowing that I am there for those who were there for my generation and knowing that they are in great hands is just a couple of my favorite things about caregiving. Most of all I'd have to say, I absolutely love spending time with my clients and giving them the companionship that they need and deserve so that they do not have to worry about being lonely. The saying is true that people can die from loneliness and its heartbreaking knowing how many people do have to live without anybody in their lives. If I could be there for them all I would. I am always so happy to be in their presence knowing I'm making a difference in that person's life. It is a sense of fulfillment to me as if I am doing exactly what I was destined to do.

I got into caregiving in 2007. I loved it. Then about 5 years ago I decided to become a certified nurse aide. I worked for Hospice and a couple of other companies as an aide. I recently moved to the area and while I love being an aide I also enjoy being a caregiver.
