Have been a CNA for about 6 years now. I initially wanted to be a nurse, but being a D1 student-athlete at Weber State, the clinical hours of nursing and the demands of softball did not work . I love relationship building and companionship as a CNA, that is what makes it all worth it. I recently received my B.S in Healthcare Service Administration and am pursuing a dual master's degree of healthcare and business administration.

Hello there. I'm Gabby. I'm a very outgoing, energetic, positive vibes CNA who can offer excellent care for your loved ones, giving you the peace of mind you need and deserve. As a single mom of three teenagers (now all 3 are in college!) I moved to North Carolina 7 years ago to be closer to my own aging parents. In 2015, Dad became wheelchair bound and Mom was no longer able to care for him. I rolled up my sleeves and made the necessary renovations on my home here in Smithfield and moved them in with me. I pushed pause on my career and was able to spend some great quality time with Dad before he passed away a week before Christmas in December 2018. Mom's dementia had been progressing, so I became his sole caregiver and provided for his every need until he "graduated." Three months later, Mom had a massive stroke rendering her the equivalent of a three year old. No longer able to dress, toilet, or feed herself or even articulate what she needed, I stepped up to the plate and began caring for her 24/7 until her death just a month ago. I would not trade even a millisecond of the time I was able to be with my parents. It allowed me some great moments with each of them and helped me fine tune my skills as a professional caregiver. I would love to meet with you and your loved one(s) to see if we are a good fit. Go ahead, give me a chance. I promise, you won't regret it. =)

Skills & Certifications: Post Surgery Recovery, Gastrointestinal Disorders, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Multiple Sclerosis, Orthopedic Care, Blood Disorders, Vision and Eye Disorders, Stroke, Respiratory Disorders, Renal and Urological Disorders, Palliative Care, Parkinson's Disease, Neurological Disorders, Hospice Care, Home Health Care, Hearing Disorders, Diabetes, Depression, Dementia, Cardiovascular Disorders, Cancer Recovery, Arthritis, Alzheimer's Disease

I would like to introduce myself as a candidate for the Caregiver position at Josephine Gardner' Home. As a highly empathetic and caring individual with extensive experience in the caregiving field, I am confident that I can succeed as a Caregiver for Jojo, I also provided home health care for a rotation of 10 patients per week At Aloha care ( Hawaii ) five days a week. My responsibilities included light housework, giving baths, preparing small snacks, reading to patients, helping them around the house, helping patients use the restroom, providing companionship, keeping track of appointments, and feeding patients. I am very passionate about the well-being of my patients. I believe that the elderly are a valuable and important generation, full of wisdom and knowledge and that they need to be cared for and protected. During my young years, I served as a primary caregiver for my grandmother. As a frail woman in her late 80s , she needed a lot of assistance with most day-to-day functions. Since I was there more than my parents, who both worked full-time, I took it upon myself to be her caregiver. The more time I spent with her, the more I realized that although her body may not function, her mind was an ocean of stories and wisdom, waiting to be explored. I will always cherish the time I had with her and the things she taught me. I would like to thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to learning more about Other new clients and the expectations of the Caregiver role. Sincerely, Vicky!

I am a family oriented person. Everything I do is for my family and how it will help us progress into better people. I'm very social and have great listening skills. I keep myself alert all times when I'm working. Making sure that my workspace is safe and clean. I'm very positive and even on my off days, I try my best to keep a positive attitude. I love helping elderly people or helping people in general. I'm an LDS member and I can't count how many missionaries I've seen on the street that I've stopped to greet them and even take them out for lunch or simply to conversing with them before they go on about their day. I am actually the first person in our family to become a caregiver, and along the way my husband too, had an interest and have gained experience in that field. The thing I enjoy most about caregiving is spending time with my client and assisting them in anything they need. Over the years while my experience has developed I've learned to love each of my clients while caring for them. I do grow close to all my clients that I've worked for and I love putting a smile on their faces. I'm a reliable person and I'm very honest. I have strong communication skills and would do anything for an opportunity. I think my biggest personal achievement is becoming a stronger member in the church. Making sure that I lead a good example for my children and for their future. However, whatever offer I receive for any future clients I will be grateful for the chance that's given to me!

Skills & Certifications: COPD, Cancer Recovery, Arthritis, Stroke, Parkinson's Disease, Diabetes, Depression, Dementia, Hospice Care, Alzheimer's Disease, Home Health Care

What makes me become a great caregiver is my grandparents. I was mostly raised by my grandparents and when I was 16 years of age my grandpa was diagnosed and I was the one that helps him most of the time. After my grandpa passed away my grandma was next and I had to take care of her, when grandma passed away that's when I realized I don't have a grandparents anymore and so I decided to look for a caregiver jobs so I can continue on the legacy that my grandparents left behind. Working as a caregiver makes me treat every residents that I get to work with just like how I treat my grandparents. I'm the type of person that I like to smile every time no matter the situations is, so by smiling it helps me with my job as a caregiver, and it helps the patients too feel comfortable with me helping them. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver, is being able to talk with them about life and how they share with me their stories, because I took their stories and apply it to mine and i work towards it. One of my personal achievements that I'm proud of is, seeing my patients happy, is one of my biggest achievements.
