I love being a caregiver because I love taking care of people. I am a hard worker, very reliable, trustworthy, and I love to cook. I am currently taking some training to open an adult foster care. I just really enjoy doing this work.

The knowledge of CNA and CMA, Over 10 years and the experience ,makes me a great caregiver. My great personalities are am honest, respectful and empathetic. My job and my personality has always been helping people and particularly old and disabled and helpless. As of October 4, 2022 I'm current with all COVID-19 vaccine shots and on Oct 4, 2022 I got the newest booster shot. I have been a IP ( Independent Provider ) Hospice/CNA nurse for 10 plus years now after obtaining my license in 2011. But been a caregiver for over twenty years now. My certification includes experience working with Dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Cancer, Autism, Mental Health, Nurse Delegation, Sundowner's, Stroke/Brain Bleed, Stroke with AFO brace, Cerebral Palsy, PSP ( Progressive Supranuclear Palsy) and Diabetes. I am CPR certified. I have my own transportation, non smoker, and have a clean driving record. I love working with people, but my passion is to work with senior citizens. I enjoy reading, cooking, scrapbooking, listening to music, love doing puzzles and playing with my three small dogs. I am handy in both house and yard work. The part I love most about what I do is the smiles and enjoyment that I can see on my clients faces from the care and help I give them. My most recent work has consisted of taking care of a ninety-six year old sweet lady with Dementia/cancer. I am a naturally caring person, who was raised by my grandparents, so I love and understand the elderly. I love hearing the stories of the past. I love getting to know the families and people involved in their lives. People are important and every person has value and a story to tell! I helped to take care of my grandmother as she was aging and I look back on that time w fond memories. Helping others stay in their home. Making someones life just a little bit easier can have great rewards. I took religion is college, of which I have 3 yrs. I have raised two children, and have been involved in my church over the years. I am now helping to raise two of my grandchildren which I adore! I am faithful and loyal, kind and gentle to others. I am honest and trustworthy.I love gardening, my grandchildren, and nature and all animals, especially cats and horses. In my younger years I was a CNA for about 10 years. Then helped my husband in the restaurant business for quite a few years, then went into janitorial at Hood River High Sch for awhile. I now have an additional 7 yrs (?) in caring for others. I love people! Now that I am a little older, I am enjoying taking care of the elderly and have a good understanding for what they need. I have been doing so for a number (10?) of years. I am a pretty easy going person to wk with.

In addition to the regular requirements of of a caregiver, I'm very hard working, I'm cheerful, compassionate and have extremely good creative skills in the arts and I would include cooking as an art. I like to go the extra mile and do little things that sometimes can make all the difference. For instance, putting towels in the dryer so they're nice and warm after a shower, or making sure that meals are served garnished and attractive. It's rewarding to help someone and cheer them up, see them smile ! I enjoy the variety and working with people one on one, and I enjoy working in their homes. I think the overall achievement of working with many people since 2012 is what I'm proud of. I do enjoy making them smile and laugh and taking them out of their troubles at least for a little while, while performing tasks in their home that need to be done. I do not do transfers .This means the person must be totally ambulatory. I cannot help them get up from a chair or get out of bed, nor can I reposition someone in bed. But, I do everything else. Available full time. except Friday afternoon. I can also do weekend, 24/7 shifts or long weeks 24/7.

I am an energetic, kind, and compassionate person who has dedicated the last 12 years to helping seniors age in place. Although my bachelor's degree from the University of Arizona is in Nursing/Biology, I pursued other career opportunities for much of my professional life. I returned to hands-on care 12 years ago because of the deep satisfaction I feel when I help a family honor their loved one's decision to remain at home, living as independently as possible. I am highly organized and I excel at coordinating all aspects of care, which enables family members to attend to their careers and commitments. I have experience as a Care Manager, hiring, training, and managing a caregiving team for a family that needed 24 hour care for their father. I am very easy to get along with and have a great deal of respect for - not only my elders , but for people - in general. I am a good listener and can relate to or sympathize with most people. I have a warm heart and a good outlook on life. I have a great sense of humor and a good sense of reality. I have a 34 yr old son with cerebral palsy . Whom I have cared for all his life. I started caring for others in 2009 when I began caring for a friend.In later years I worked as a housekeeper in a retirement facility and I got to know the residents and really wanted to help so I became a caregiver in senior care . It made me feel so good helping people out. they really made my day! And it was totally worth it to hear them say I was making theirs! It is a win win . I am proud to help people . Its my nature . I achieved employee of the month in a facility . I was the only one in the year to get it.. I am very work oriented ,but yet fun to have around.. I am reliable and Always on time.

Hello! Thanks for stopping by. I've always loved caregiving, and hope I get the chance to extend some care into the lives of you and your loved ones. Since I was a very young girl when asked what I want to do I've always been able to respond in the same way: I want to help people. I've always been driven to grow and improve. This desire also extends out to the people around me. As a caregiver, I go out of my way to ensure my client's needs are met before that of my own. I try to get to know each person as what they really are: an incredible human being, with a LOT to offer. I always try to learn something from my incounters, no matter how brief the engagement.
