When I was the age of 16 starting taking care of a young disabled girl from church, from there I really loved working with people who need care and assistance. I then got a job working at Independent Options at 19yrs old taking care of special needs adults. I had been working in the same company for 20yrs. I started as a DCS then moved up to House Manager. I really enjoy helping others who need help.

I'm a registered nurse with 10 years experience. My background is critical care, post-operative care and prior charge nurse experience in orthopedics/telemetry. I'm a mom of 3 young children. I'm hardworking, organized, attentive to detail and compassionate about providing high quality care with each client I encounter. After years of being at the bedside and witnessing far too many elderly and disabled clients admitted with preventable health ailments- I've decided to transition my career to provide quality care and help my community prevent these cases from happening. My name is MacKenzie-Paige Dare Harrison. I am 23 years old and currently a stay at home mother of a four year old. I believe that there is a certain kind of person that has to care for others that are in need. My passion for and love to help others is what i think makes me a great caregiver. I knew from a very young age that I wanted to help others. It was dream or my God given purpose to be a caregiver. I love seeing the smiling faces of people when you interact and get to know them. Knowing that you are sharing the love and compassionate ways of the Lord Jesus Christ is what makes me enjoy being a caregiver. I do it because whoever I am taking care of is my family and I want everyone to be shown the kindness and love that comes with a caregiver that truly cares about the people. It is not about a paycheck to me, it is about restoring the health and well being of others in the most caring and loving way possible that is the payment me. One personal achievement that I am really proud of is never letting the enemy deterring me from what the Lord wants for me and the people around me. I am a very compassionate trustworthy and responsible person with a strong desire to work with the elderly in their home setting. I am dedicated to helping people to live a full dignified life! I have experience with family members that needed the up most care at times in there life when we couldn't find anyone to trust. I now want to give that to another family, I want to help and more important love someone out there who needs it while family isn't available. I am a mother and have many years experience caring for those in my home and know what it takes to keep the home moving and remain a happy safe clean environment.

I was raised in a Christian home by my grandma, mom and dad. I attended a vocational tech school for High school where I studied nursing. I was a dental radiographer and expanded functions assistant for 18 years. I quit that to raise my sons during their teen years. I owned my own home day care business for 14 years. I went back to school and became a phlebotomist. After four years I was bored and went back to school to become a CNA. I have worked in hospitals and Hospice Houses. I have taken care of elderly in their homes because of cancer and/or hip replacements. I have worked in the ER on 12 hour shifts. I love taking care of people.

Growing up, every great grandparent, and grandparent on both sides of my family, suffered from the Alzheimer's gene. I watched and assisted with their care and witnessed their deterioration my entire childhood and adult life. Naturally, I sought genetic testing and learned I am a carrier of the gene. I am pursuing a career in medicine with a double major in Biology (for Pre-Med) and Neurosciences (studying regressive neurological diseases and mental disorders). I am also a mom of 2. I enjoy providing companionship care and have extensive experience (both personal and professional) and knowledge of senior care and dementia/Alzheimer's. I provide the same care to families that I would give to my own. I'm a driven, passionate person who enjoys reading, outdoor activities of any kind, and am an avid believer that anything is possible if we set out to achieve it. I hope that I can give your family peace of mind and comfort your loved ones in their time of need.
