My name is MacKenzie-Paige Dare Harrison. I am 23 years old and currently a stay at home mother of a four year old. I believe that there is a certain kind of person that has to care for others that are in need. My passion for and love to help others is what i think makes me a great caregiver. I knew from a very young age that I wanted to help others. It was dream or my God given purpose to be a caregiver. I love seeing the smiling faces of people when you interact and get to know them. Knowing that you are sharing the love and compassionate ways of the Lord Jesus Christ is what makes me enjoy being a caregiver. I do it because whoever I am taking care of is my family and I want everyone to be shown the kindness and love that comes with a caregiver that truly cares about the people. It is not about a paycheck to me, it is about restoring the health and well being of others in the most caring and loving way possible that is the payment me. One personal achievement that I am really proud of is never letting the enemy deterring me from what the Lord wants for me and the people around me. I am proud to say that everything that I achieve is only because I have the Lord with me every step of the way. To God be the the Glory.

I was raised in a Christian home by my grandma, mom and dad. I attended a vocational tech school for High school where I studied nursing. I was a dental radiographer and expanded functions assistant for 18 years. I quit that to raise my sons during their teen years. I owned my own home day care business for 14 years. I went back to school and became a phlebotomist. After four years I was bored and went back to school to become a CNA. I have worked in hospitals and Hospice Houses. I have taken care of elderly in their homes because of cancer and/or hip replacements. I have worked in the ER on 12 hour shifts. I love taking care of people.

Growing up, every great grandparent, and grandparent on both sides of my family, suffered from the Alzheimer's gene. I watched and assisted with their care and witnessed their deterioration my entire childhood and adult life. Naturally, I sought genetic testing and learned I am a carrier of the gene. I am pursuing a career in medicine with a double major in Biology (for Pre-Med) and Neurosciences (studying regressive neurological diseases and mental disorders). I am also a mom of 2. I enjoy providing companionship care and have extensive experience (both personal and professional) and knowledge of senior care and dementia/Alzheimer's. I provide the same care to families that I would give to my own. I'm a driven, passionate person who enjoys reading, outdoor activities of any kind, and am an avid believer that anything is possible if we set out to achieve it. I hope that I can give your family peace of mind and comfort your loved ones in their time of need.

I graduated high school in 2008 and received my Certified Nursing assistance license. I became a care giver because I have a passion for helping others and seeing them smile. I am a very outgoing person who is always smiling. I have a 14 month old daughter who is my world, so you can say i have lots of patients. I treat all of my clients as if they were family. I give them lots of respect and help them in any way that they may need. I do not treat them as if they were babies because most of them have lived a much longer life than I have. In my six years of experience I have worked with stroke patients, Alzheimer, dementia, g-tubes, mental disorders, fall risk patients, and more.

Being a Caregiver is more than just a job to me. I have a Huge Heart filled with love and Compassion. I have been a CNA for many years. I believe you treat someone the way you would want to be treated. With Dignity and Respect.

What makes me a great caregiver is the heart that I was blessed with. I use to wonder what my purpose here was but I know what it is. It's to be a blessing in the life of others. I take pride in the care I give and treat each person as if they were my loved one. Not only do I do my very best to take care of each individual that I care for I make them as comfortable with me as I possibly can and also there family. The last case I had I was introduced to a doctor who needed care for her mom. They instantly fell in love with me and treated me not just as a caregiver but family. After the passing of her mom still today the doctor and I communicate at least twice a week and she stills tells me 6 months after her mom passed how much she appreciated the care I gave her mom and how much her mom loved me.

I became a CNA because I had a sick child and also love to work with people..I like the people the most.I am mostly proud of my kids..I have been a CNA for five years and worked at a nursing home for four years.

I have been a registered CNA/GNA since April of 2018. Taking care of others is simple for me something that comes easily and from the heart. I started doing this line of work to help better peoples lives. I worked closely with 10-12 residents daily working for Genesis Healthcare. I am caring, responsible, reliable, and dedicated to any and everything I do. I give my heart to those I care for. What makes me a good caregiver? Well, I don't get rattled when things "go wrong", I find the next best solution. I follow care plans to a 'T'. If I ever have any questions or concerns they are always documented and confronted. I'm a big sticker for organization and documentation. Like I said, it comes from the heart, and I think that combined with my knowledge and experience is what really matters. My latest TB test was done March 25, 2018 which came back negative. My latest background check, although not done through carelinx, I do have a copy for was done in May of 2018 which also came back negative. I am willing to take drug screenings as I know they will always come back negative however those will not come out of my pocket unless I'm being reimbursed. I understand the want to make sure your loved ones are being taken care of, with me they will be more than well taken care of, that's a guarantee.
