I've worked as a HHA (home health aide) and RA (facility living). I've very trust worthy when it comes to showing up on time and on short notice. I love talking to my residents about their past lives to really get to know them and what they love. I just moved down here from the jackson Michigan area and I'm ready to start helping people in community using my skills!

I'm the oldest sibling and grandchild which means I am a natural caregiver. I love getting to know people and learning about their history or hearing stories they may share. Or, sitting in silence as we read a book or color together. Cooking and cleaning are other ways to show love and care for people. I love my "job" because it never feels like going to work. Helping people is engrained in me and it's truly the best fit I can imagine as far as a career.

I have worked in health care all my life. I've worked with kids and adults with mental and physical disabilities, in schools, group home settings, and within the home as well. I've worked for Bronson Hospital for ten years, before discovering my true passion, in home care. I'm gregarious, positive, and like bringing a sense of joy and humor to work with me every day. I love knowing that my being there, it can help someone stay in their home one more day.

I have been a Caregiver for 10 years. I have experience working in the persons home assisting them in anyway they need to remain in their own home. Have experience with transferring from wheelchair to bed, tube feeding, Trach care, bathing, preparing meals and light cleaning. I have also assisted with driving individuals to doctors appointments.

Since I was a child, I've loved helping other people. I enjoy working with people of all ages and circumstances. What excites me most about this position is the opportunity to help those with disabilities live happier, healthier lives. I have 20 years of experience in caring for the elderly. My parents owned an Adult Foster Care home for 10 years. I lived on site and cared for up to 12 patients at a time. When I was a teenager I was living with my grandma, She was in a wheel chair and had arthritis. I love helping her out whether it was washing her hair or cooking. Sometimes I was the only one who would be able to help her when she needed it. My grandmother passed away in 2006... this is when I felt I could make a difference for others in need. I have a huge heart and people need me, and I need them. This is where my heart is, I love to be able to help someone with there day to day activities. I am proud to say that I have earned multiple awards with my current employer for being the happiest most out going person in the company for 2 years. All the clients know me and when they see that I waked into the building they all get so excited to see me ... But this goes both ways. Im happy to see them too. I work at a rehabilitation company in Kalamazoo mi. I have been with this company for almost 4 years. I am a home manager so I manage 10+ employees and I have 4 clients under my care. I am in love with this kind a work. I know that I can offer much more that what I am doing now. Im looking for the same line of work but with a bigger company that would let me move up the totem poll.
