I've worked as a HHA (home health aide) and RA (facility living). I've very trust worthy when it comes to showing up on time and on short notice. I love talking to my residents about their past lives to really get to know them and what they love. I just moved down here from the jackson Michigan area and I'm ready to start helping people in community using my skills!

A few things about me and my role as a caregiver are that I'm friendly, kind, compassionate, understanding, and hard working. For 10 years, I have worked as a caregiver under two professional services, ROI in Michigan and Help-at- Home in Northwest Indiana. The services that I've performed include transportation, personal assistance, physician advocate, medication disbursement, life-skills assistance to people, of all ages, with a variety of physical and mental abilities. In the beginning, she just needed help with little things. Then, as time passed she needed all around care. It felt good to help her. I saw a need that I knew I could fulfill, not only for her, but others too. A personal achievement that I am most proud of was becoming an APC (Assistant Program Coordinator). I had applied 2 other times and didnt get the job. I had to build more skills and fight harder for it and the people I loved to help. I am thankful for the experience it has helped me to be a better caregiver.

Have experience with transferring from wheelchair to bed, tube feeding, Trach care, bathing, preparing meals and light cleaning.
