Communicate with patients to ascertain feelings or need for assistance or social and emotional support. I had been a family caregiver to two members previously and all together, I have 10 years experience. Ive been told I have a servants heart and find I am happiest when making others satisfied. I became a CAREGIVER because I have a natural instinct to help others. I feel that it's a "Calling". And I thoroughly enjoy working with the elderly, and hearing their stores. A personal achievement that I am proud of is being recognized with a Heart N Hands Award for my service to my elderly clients. I moved from California to Tennessee in 2003. After working in a Distribution Center for almost 2 years, I became a CAREGIVER and have been employed as such for over 10 years. I have an outgoing personality and get along well with others. I am also a woman of Faith. My hobbies are reading, crafting, live theater, etc. I have alot of experience as a Professional Caregiver and would love to help with your loved one!

Communication is key, along with encouragement, patience, and creative problem-solving skills. Growing up as a child, I helped my grandmother with her medical needs and that is what inspired me to get in the medical field. Caring for other people makes me feel valued. I have wonderful relationships with my clients. While I am doing their ironing or washing the floor, we're laughing and chatting. They enjoy telling me their stories, sometimes from years ago and I get pleasure from listening to them. Having spent decades of my life caring for my elderly patients and I love every minute of it, Such an honor for me ! Being a trusted caregiver for many years with patients from all walks of life in various stages in life; sometimes with physical/mental decline I offer care that you can trust. I have great compassion for others in some of the most vulnerable times of their lives when sometimes other family members cannot due to their own family and lives. I give those families comfort in knowing that I will do a good job taking care of their most precious loved ones. It was in nursing school that I knew being a caregiver to the elderly was my passion. I love that I can make individuals feel loved even though I'm not actual family but in time I do feel like family as they have become like family to me. I know that when I give attention to my patients that they are receiving the BEST care that I can humanly give them, I know without a doubt that I'm doing what is most comforting and safe for them. I am a wife, mother of 2 amazing boys, and a nurse. I now stay home with my youngest son because my oldest son is away at college and my husband works crazy hours. I absolutely love taking care of people. It is my passion and what God put me on this earth for.
