The process of choosing a caregiver is somewhat challenging so here is some about me : Getting to work with families has become a joy for me - My father was ill and I helped him in the last weeks of his life and found fulfillment in helping him when He couldn't help himself. I enjoy doing daily duties or things for others they can't do for themselves - I am willing to work with schedules , let's meet and see if it's a fit for us both. Thank you

After seeing my grandmother and grandfather in assisted living facilities without proper companionship or care from their caregivers and nurses I made the decision to make a difference. 8 years ago my father was diagnosed with Dementia. With his progression of the disease our family had to make a choice and decided it was in his best interest to be in a facility. By the grace of god he is well taken care. During this time I made decision to go to nursing school to become a licensed nurse. Having gone through the process and working in assisted living facilities I became well aware of the elderly and all the help that was needed, especially with companionship. A lot of patients have no family to visit or family that has no interest to visit. This has become very close to my heart and the joy I get to be able to spend with these patients is as rewarding as it gets. I enjoy being able to provide the skills I have learned and to provide the assistance and respite care that a family needs.

I am naturally dependable, compassionate and trustworthy and very patient with others. I am able to perform complex medical task, supervise patients, make decisions, solve problems, provide emotional support/comfort and coordinate care. I enjoy working with people and enjoying having 1 on 1 interactions with others. I get to be a part of a new family. I make enormous difference in people's lives. I enjoy most about being a care giver is seeing smiling faces!! A personal achievement I am proud of is my resourcefulness, flexibility and determination, even with a difficult patient caregiving can be one of the most rewarding experiences in your life!

I enjoy working with people and enjoy jobs where I have one-on-one interaction with others. I enjoy taking care of elder family members and would like to help others in this way. I like older adults and feel I can get along well with a variety of elders. It is essential that a great caregiver (Myself) feel the desire to want to help. By showing both empathy and compassion, a caregiver will let the person know that they care about them. For instance, they will try and do what they can to help - not because they have to, but because they want to.

I have been in home healthcare for over 20 years. I love being in home health care and being able to help patients enjoy their life. I became a caregiver to help make a difference in patient lives. I am skilled in a variety of care, including transfers, bathing dressing, med, reminders, total care, dementia, insulin injections, and a variety of other skills. My patients have ranged from quadriplegics to dementia patients. Caring for, listening, and helping my patients brings a lot of joy to my life to be able to see them smile and laugh fills my heart.

I think I'm a great caregiver because I genuinely care about others. I treat people the way I want myself or my family members treated. I have enjoyed a 32 year career as a Respiratory Therapist primarily with children in a hospital setting, but being a caregiver doesn't have age restrictions! I am now an active empty nester and am looking to continue caring for others outside of the hospital setting in a little more flexible way. :)

Im a very caring and empathic person who loves to take care of others. I've been in this line of work for 10 plus years. Im CPR certified. Im skilled in colostomy care as well as catheter care. I love learning new things and meeting new people. No challenge is to big to work through. I love to keep a poative mindset.
