I started as a direct support professional for adults with developmental disabilities. I also have extensive experience with senior care, memory care, rehabilitation, & as a home care assistant. I am proud of what I do. I bring a calm presence with me & it helps to get to know everyone on an individual and personal level. I am very adaptable and supportive to increase my client's individuality and choice in their daily lives. I view myself as someone to help them be their best self. What makes me a great caregiver is my organization and ablity to multitask, I'm a reliable person. I enjoy people and treat people with respect. I've been a caregiver for 30+ years the reason I became a caregiver is, it's given is the ability to help other people, live the best posible life they can live. What I enjoy the most is watching people smile and heal. The thing I'm most proud of is raising my 4 children to be healthy young men.

I was born into the medical field as I had parents that were also caregivers, advocates, case managers , adult care home owners. It's what I know and what I love to do. To me it's not a job it's what I do and what i was meant to do in life.

I became a caregiver because I would like to give back to my community and help those that are in need in anyway shape or form. Ive been a caregiver for 4+ years and I wouldn't trade it for the world. (Its a hobby of mine ).
