I love being a caregiver because I love taking care of people. I am a hard worker, very reliable, trustworthy, and I love to cook. I am currently taking some training to open an adult foster care. I just really enjoy doing this work.

What makes me a great caregiver is my organization and ablity to multitask, I'm a reliable person. I enjoy people and treat people with respect. I've been a caregiver for 30+ years the reason I became a caregiver is, it's given is the ability to help other people, live the best posible life they can live. What I enjoy the most is watching people smile and heal. The thing I'm most proud of is raising my 4 children to be healthy young men.

I believe Caregiving is a gift not just a job,I love working with the client as well as with the family so the person can get the best care possible and being in communication with the Doctor(s),I also want to know the person well enough to know if something is different and/or has changed in health and mind state.I love working with a person long term and using my gift of humor and compassion to help improve one's quality of life. I am a great caregiver because I take care of the client I show up with a smile,a good attitude& ready to work. I became a caregiver not on purpose but I am 10 plus years in the field I love helping the elderly and anyone who needs help. I've been recognized and complimented by clients to my supervisors on what great work I do.

Over 20 yrs experience caring for people of all ages and abilities. 5+ yrs as a CNA in PDX first working in a small facility for people w/ HIV/AIDS then onto temping at LTC Facilities all over PDX. 18 years working for UCP, OR w/ adults w/ CP & intellectual disabilities. 5+ yrs as an "Enhanced Worker" HCW doing in-home care for Aging & Disability Services. Now certified in WA as a HCA to work in-homes. Additional interests & education include: Cosmetology, Naturopathic Assistant & Juice Bar Manager. Study Yoga, Tai Chi Chuan & Meditation. Some massage school experience too. Strong interest in Nutrition and Whole Foods Cooking & Herbs. I believe we are here to help and learn from one another and I chose caregiving because it allows me to really thrive while hopefully uplifting or at least easing the lives of those I work with.

I was certified in November 2019 after attending a CNA training program in Hawaii Job Corps (Oahu, HI). In the program I was able to attain my HIPAA, Blood Borne Pathogens, and Basic Life Support. I have since then attended Western Iowa Tech where I received my prerequisites for Nursing 1. Because of the pandemic I decided to take a break from school to work and make ends meet. My Hawaii certification unfortunately expired before I could have it transferred so I have been working as an uncertified caregiver . Luckily for me, it's something I've always enjoyed doing. I do hope to get state certified soon because I take pride in this line of work and the relationships I build with my residents. [?]

My name is Jordan Fivecoats I grew up with my mom owning adult foster homes. I worked in the adult care home industry for over three years specializeing in Trumatic brain injuries. I started working At 18. When I was younger than 18 I volunteered at assisted living homes and helped around the house with activities and helping the residents eat, I read to the residents and just enjoyed helping them out, and that's what made me want to spend my time with elderly people.

Hello! I am a experienced caregiver/medication aide who truly LOVES it. I have worked caring for seniors and individuals with disabilities for the last 5 years. It is something that I am passionate about. I enjoy having a positive impact in people's lives on a daily basis and by doing this job I am able to do so. I feel very competent in this field. As a certified nursing assistant I have 22 years of experience working with end of life care such as Hospice, home aid and working with the elderly. I'm patient, kind, reliable and understanding of all situations. I enjoy working with people. I mostly enjoy working jobs where you have personal interaction and getting to people of all different backgrounds. The achievement that im most proud of is being able to care for those who can't care for themselves. I'm also vaccinated.

I am very easy to get along with and have a great deal of respect for - not only my elders , but for people - in general. I am a good listener and can relate to or sympathize with most people. I have a warm heart and a good outlook on life. I have a great sense of humor and a good sense of reality. I have a 34 yr old son with cerebral palsy . Whom I have cared for all his life. I started caring for others in 2009 when I began caring for a friend.In later years I worked as a housekeeper in a retirement facility and I got to know the residents and really wanted to help so I became a caregiver in senior care . It made me feel so good helping people out. they really made my day! And it was totally worth it to hear them say I was making theirs! It is a win win . I am proud to help people . Its my nature . I achieved employee of the month in a facility . I was the only one in the year to get it.. I am very work oriented ,but yet fun to have around.. I am reliable and Always on time.
