Hello I am Alicia- I have done private home care for approx. 10+ years. I find it very rewarding to give the care I wish to receive for myself or family members if/when I may need help doing everyday tasks. I raised 4 children & now have beautiful grandbabies to enjoy & visit them as often as I'm able to. For the past year & a half I've lived with my dad caring for him and his COPD- on November 21, 2022 he lost the fight against his disease. I have worked in the Human Services industry for over 12 years. I have a solid background of working with TBI and psychiatric clients within a residential setting. I have letters of recommendation from several clinicians, doctors, psychiatrists and a program director within the state of Colorado. My wife and I are semi-retired, and I am not one to sit at home. I very much love meeting and helping people. Due to challenges my family faced while I was growing up, I learned to trust others outside my comfort zone. So, I am here to help you in the best way I can. As we all are getting older, we focus on our new challenges in life and sometimes miss out on solutions that can make us feel happier than we expected. I have many years of experience in the medical field. My father was a doctor and my sister was a registered nurse. I was a Veterinary Technician right out of college for many years before entering the human medical field. I have a natural desire to take care of people and animals. I have several years experience caring for elderly clients in their homes and mine!

I am extremely caring, passionate, and involved caregiver. I am dependable and understand the importance of the job. I have taken care of several family members, including my grandmother who had dementia. I have also cared for other patients that have been recommended to me. I currently have one client that I have cared for since 2010. I am flexible in pay, and have reliable transportation.

I have been a CNA for about 5 years now and it has always been a passion of mine to become a nurse someday to help those in need much more. Throughout the years working as a CNA I have really come to love helping others and being there for them when they feel helpless and lonely. I have lost patients on the way and when it comes down to it as much as you don't want it to bother you it truly does. I have always had a passion for what I do and when I lose those that I'm helping it does hurt me, but I'm always proud for being there to help them when no one else could.
