I feel like I am a good caregiver because when my dad turned 80 he needed extra help because he started forgetting some stuff. Started to get Alzheimer's. So I began helping him with medication, cooking, cleaning, laundry, errands, doctor appointments, bill paying etc. Sometimes I would find myself at his home 4-5 times a day answering questions over and over again or just to keep him company. He had some amazing stories of his life so I overstayed my visits. It was great! He passed away at 90. Then my sister started having medical problems when she turned 65. I did the same for her and would spend a lot of time with her as well. I cleaned her home, did her laundry and took her to doctor appointments. I kept her company at the hospital as often as I could. We spent a lot of time on the phone. It helped so she wasn't so bored. I enjoyed the time I spent with both of them. It made me feel useful. So after all the help I gave to both of them, I started to look into Caregiving. It's a great career. To help others is great!

I work great in all environments male or female. im a quick learner and a good cook (so I've been told). I have 1.5 year experience with caregiving (in home and in facility) and over 2 years of personal family care. i was named caregiver of the month at my last job. I have several referrals. I am looking for 2-4 overnight shifts a week. I have experience assisting clients in bathrooms, medication reminders, eating, companionship, bed bath, and personal hygiene thats needed!
