I took interest in Caregiving 25 years ago when I needed to earn extra money on top of my regular place of employment. Since then I've worked both for an agency and also do private caregiving. I enjoy and find it very rewarding to help someone in need and hope that someday if needed I'll have someone with my abilities and personality to care for me. I find it very rewarding to be there for someone in need and to also meet new people. I once was told that you cannot make caregiving personal and I absolutely disagree with that. The client becomes your friend whom relies on you for so much. My personal achievement that I'm most proud of is becoming the hard working caring mom and wife I am. I love making people happy

For 8 years I managed a Spinal Clinic that primarily served the elderly. I assisted them with mobility, with comfort when they were nervous about new treatments, and answered questions they were too afraid to ask the doctor. I also took care of my grandmother growing up. She lived in a little house next to us but wasn't able to fully care for herself. I've assisted my own aging and diabetic mother with everything from bathing, toileting, preparing meals, running errands, etc--specifically after major illnesses and surgeries. I've also done volunteer work at Nursing Homes while in school. I am CPR and First Aid Certified. For the last 2 years I've been working as a full time Nanny.

I am conscientious, love people and employ compassion in my work with others. Caregiving is a fulfilling role in which I take pride, because I enjoy learning about others and how I can help each individual in unique situations. I consider the whole person including needs, preferences and personality when providing support. Helping people with different physical and mental health challenges has resulted in a true love of perceiving how to care provide with dependability and respect. Hello, my name is Kat! I'm Dementia safe certified. I have experience with Dementia, parkinsons, bedbound, brain damage, physically and mentally challenged clients of all ages. I work great in all environments male or female. im a quick learner and a good cook (so I've been told). I have 1.5 year experience with caregiving (in home and in facility) and over 2 years of personal family care. i was named caregiver of the month at my last job. I have several referrals. I am looking for 2-4 overnight shifts a week. I have experience assisting clients in bathrooms, medication reminders, eating, companionship, bed bath, and personal hygiene thats needed!
