I am enthusiastic and enjoy working with the elderly. I am a loyal and faithful companion. I was first attracted to caring for the elderly through my grandmother who simply needed someone to understand. I have taken care of my grandmother my mother and many elderly since then. What I enjoy most about caring for the elderly his to give them a reason to smile, laugh and be happy in their own environment and being their own selves. Some of my personal achievements that I am extremely proud of was a dementia patient who no longer enjoyed painting and with my enthusiastic caring she started painting again. Another elderly lady with Alzheimer's who had forgotten that she loved the outdoors and to walk for exercise. We started sitting on her front porch enjoying the birds and butterfly's and walking down the road for exercise. She even challenged me to a race, LOL. Then another was afraid to take the escalator, she was afraid she would fall. With no other way out, I helped her walk right onto it with no trouble. There was a gentleman that had not fed himself in many years, with my encouragement he was eating by himself again with no assistance. These are just a few of the accomplishments with the elderly that I am thankful that I was able to Help with and Witness.

I started my nursing career at 22 years old. I was a kid when I started, but I was a kid with a different type of soul and I knew it. It was almost scary being that age and full of love and knowledge. Let's be honest, most kids at that age are having the time of their life. I had fun too, but it was reading and educating myself. That was my fun. I think having a sick sibling at a young age is what drew me into nursing. I was about 13 when my sister was diagnosed with Cardiomyopathy. Interesting enough, I would read and learn more about her disease than she did. I stuck with me. I have been a nurse a total of 22 years.

I'm a kind, caring person. Likes taking care of the elderly and disabled. As a home health aide I do for the clients what they can't do for themselves. Will keep all information about my clients confidential. I always treat others like I want to be treated,with respect and dignity.

Im a great caregiver because I have 2 beautiful daughters and always trusted that they were in great care when they were small and I worked. I also cared for my mom when her health failed. So from caring for them and making sure they had great caregivers makes me know that whomever needed a caregiver would want someone that has a caring heart for people and would treat them as you want to be treated also their love ones. In 1986 I furthered my education in the healthcare field and from then until for I've been working as a Certified Nurse Asst., Home health aid Private Duty Caregiver. I currently operates an Adult Family Care Home were I have live-in Mental impaired residents of whom I've cared for for many years, I also work with Developmental Clients, Alzheimer's Residents too. I love caring for the elderly, Mental, and disabled persons that need help with ADL and that are unable to provide services for themselves. I don't single anyone out or label them I treat them as family and as they are just as you and I HUMAN I see myself not being able to care for myself and often feels that I could be in the same position and would want someone who cares about me and my needs and have the heart to help in areas that I m in need of. So from 1980 until now my heart still goes out to those in need of CARE.

My expertise of being a great caregiver are my patience, my compassionate, my attentitives, my trustworthiness, my communication, and my dependability. I was attracted to becoming a caregiver when i did volunteer work in a nursing home at the age of 17. The most i enjoy about taking care of others is seeing them happy, feeling loved and being able to give their loves ones a break. One of my personal achievements that I'm proud of is finishing college with a 3.5 G.P.A.

To be a good caregiver you have to be passionate, loyal and caring. You can't go into the healthcare field and think that all person needs are the same because it's not. You have to be flexible to the needs of others. Why I became a CNA I just love caring for others, to know at the end of the day that I was able to help someone that may have read the newspaper for 30 plus year's, but there health may not allow them to see very well or just someone to go get there newspaper. In life its the little things that count. And i just love being apart of the things we sometimes take for granted. .

Hello my name is Princess Hall. I have been a caregiver for ten years now. I have always had passion for people with disabilities as a young child. In high school I used my down time to help feed,read,and conversate with them. My goal was to make them feel like they could do and be any and everything their hearts desired. That was the beginning of my passion for helping others. When I began working as a caregiver everyone pointed out how great I was and insisted that I further my education. In doing so I have worked with many people ranging from the elderly to people with disabilities. I now possess a CNA licence. I know being a caregiver is my calling in life and I take pride in it.

I became a care provider because I wanted to make a difference in the lives of seniors. The thing I like most about being a care provider is providing seniors with the ability to age in place. A personal accomplishment that I am most proud of is opening my company. I am a very out going individual who like to help others in times of need. I have a passion for seniors and like them to be treated with respect and dignity.

I'm very outgoing and bubbly. I love to help others as much as I can. Taking care of family members is what attracted me to being a caregiver . Things that I most enjoyed while caregiving is making the patient/client happier than before, making them comfortable enough to work with me, and being there for my patient/client at all times. Personal achievements I'm proud of are starting early and staying focused. I received my CNA/CMAA while in high school and started college right after graduation, taking up two degrees that I will finish.
