I am Currently in the Ohio Army National Guard, I like to workout, highly motivated and I am punctual. I want to help people, helping people that aren't as fortunate for whatever reason, makes me realize how lucky I am. I want to make them feel better, and help them in whatever part of life they need. A personal achievement that I am most proud of is, finally getting enough confidence to take on nursing school, I know how tough it can be but I am ready for whatever future endeavors are in store for me.

My career was in business. I retired at a young age. I went into the health care industry from a suggestion of a relative who worked at a large local hospital. I worked there for 6 years and cared for hundreds of patients each having different illnesses. This background caused me to decide I would like to become an independent provider due to my experience. I particularly enjoy caring for elderly men with dementia. What I've found is their long term memories are interesting and have heard interesting stories especially from WWll veterans. I try to become "part of the family" with each patient. I try my best to help each patient maintain their dignity, be comforting, gain their confidence provide friendship and assure a safe environment. In all my past working experiences caregiving is my most satisfying.

As an STNA I am trained and have experience in assisting patients with their activities of daily living. These activities often include restroom assistance, bathing and dressing, hygiene, meal preparation, medication reminders, and more. I am open and willing to working with all ages.

Something that makes me a great caregiver is the way that I get excited to see my clients and make an impact on their lives. I like that everyday is different with this job, and one on one interaction with elder family members makes my days way more enjoyable! I love when my clients tell me that the food I made for them is yummy or they liked the outfit I picked out for them. I work with some of the best people I know!
