I consider myself to be a person who cares about other people because I've always gone out of my way to take the time to make someone else comfortable by simply taking the time to stop and offer my help by asking them if they are okay. It was never a problem for me to clean injuries until they are better for my siblings as a child while other refused to even look at it, and this is when I knew I was a compassionate individual.

When I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma Cancer (Stage 5) 6 years ago, my one and only Caregiver by the name of Barbara, was the absolute best. She took very good care of me, and was such a joy to have around. One day I told her that when I get better, I was going to become a Caregiver too because she was such an inspiration and blessing to me and my family. I am a natural born nurturer, and I love taking care of people. It gives me such a fulfillment in my spirit to know that I did something that day to make someone's life a little easier. I am proud of the fact that I was able to complete my courses to become a Certified Nurses Assistant 2 years ago, and I plan to go back to become State Tested to enhance my skills and knowledge in this particular field.
