What makes me a great caregiver is that I have over 25+ experience. I have been in the medical field, worked in hospital setting, clinic setting and in private practice caregiving. I have a wide range of caregiver experience from pediatric, adult and geriatric.

I am a certified home health care provider. My 22 years experience include taking care of individuals with mental and physical disability in their own homes. I also worked as a Training Specialist in a workshop setting, where we trained people with mental retardation and behavior problems in simple jobs that would generate income for them and keep them occupied. My duties included providing personal care, grooming, bathing, cooking, transportation, medication administration, and monitoring individuals for safety. My joy is derived from making an improvement in people's lives.

My story : I was raised for a short period of time by My great nana and uncle . When they became sick, they were moved into hospice care. I recall doing everything I could to brighten their spirits and provide them happiness and peace. But at those moments, I discovered my calling and purpose. Working with the elderly senior generation now has the same implications. Working with each family, I offer the same comfort, love, and peace. I find myself caring for this generation as if they were my own family. My goal with each family is to constantly provide light to each individuals I serve. I began my journey 8 years ago when I became a certified nursing assistant. I have worked in long term care facilities, skilled nursing facilities, memory care facilities, hospice, and the hospital. I did not know what I was getting myself into in the beginning but somehow I felt that helping others was meant for me. Being a caregiver is who I am. I enjoy people and connecting with them even when it is a challenge to do so. Every person is unique and has different needs. I always do my best to make them feel comfortable while finding joy in the day. I am currently in my second year of nursing school with a graduation year of 2024. I have 3 children plus 3 step children age in range of 10-17. I have a four legged, super furry son name Kai. I work on the weekends on the med/surg unit at the hospital. Now that school is starting up I have time available to do what I love and that is helping others live a better life.

My first experience as a caregiver started when I was fifteen. I was hired as a nanny to care for two boys.i worked with this family for 5 years. In 2007 I worked in an orphanage where I told care of children who were heart broken because they lost their loved one. I was later on promoted to an orphanage director due to my heart felt services to children at need for over 8 years. In 2014 till date I have been caring for the elderly population . I have worked with different types of elderlypeople with different types of arging challenges . I have equally served hospice care who were able to peaceful and comfortable went to rest in heaven. I love pets and is comfortable caring for pets.
