I am a certified home health care provider. My 22 years experience include taking care of individuals with mental and physical disability in their own homes. I also worked as a Training Specialist in a workshop setting, where we trained people with mental retardation and behavior problems in simple jobs that would generate income for them and keep them occupied. My duties included providing personal care, grooming, bathing, cooking, transportation, medication administration, and monitoring individuals for safety. My joy is derived from making an improvement in people's lives.

I began my journey 8 years ago when I became a certified nursing assistant. I have worked in long term care facilities, skilled nursing facilities, memory care facilities, hospice, and the hospital. I did not know what I was getting myself into in the beginning but somehow I felt that helping others was meant for me. Being a caregiver is who I am. I enjoy people and connecting with them even when it is a challenge to do so. Every person is unique and has different needs. I always do my best to make them feel comfortable while finding joy in the day. I am currently in my second year of nursing school with a graduation year of 2024. I have 3 children plus 3 step children age in range of 10-17. I have a four legged, super furry son name Kai. I work on the weekends on the med/surg unit at the hospital. Now that school is starting up I have time available to do what I love and that is helping others live a better life.

What makes me a great caregiver is that I have over 25+ experience. I have been in the medical field, worked in hospital setting, clinic setting and in private practice caregiving. I have a wide range of caregiver experience from pediatric, adult and geriatric.

I am motivated and caring and I love to make people smile Helping people is what attracts me to being a caregiver I enjoy talking and begin able to be a listening ear to know that someone is grateful for you just being around is what make me love my job being a mother is what I'm most proud of.

My story : I was raised for a short period of time by My great nana and uncle . When they became sick, they were moved into hospice care. I recall doing everything I could to brighten their spirits and provide them happiness and peace. But at those moments, I discovered my calling and purpose. Working with the elderly senior generation now has the same implications. Working with each family, I offer the same comfort, love, and peace. I find myself caring for this generation as if they were my own family. My goal with each family is to constantly provide light to each individuals I serve. I have a job that takes patience and a compassionate heart.
