I have a neuroscience and cognitive science education background and am training to become an Occupational Therapist.

I am a family oriented person. Everything I do is for my family and how it will help us progress into better people. I'm very social and have great listening skills. I keep myself alert all times when I'm working. Making sure that my workspace is safe and clean. I'm very positive and even on my off days, I try my best to keep a positive attitude. I love helping elderly people or helping people in general. I'm an LDS member and I can't count how many missionaries I've seen on the street that I've stopped to greet them and even take them out for lunch or simply to conversing with them before they go on about their day. I am actually the first person in our family to become a caregiver, and along the way my husband too, had an interest and have gained experience in that field. The thing I enjoy most about caregiving is spending time with my client and assisting them in anything they need. Over the years while my experience has developed I've learned to love each of my clients while caring for them. I do grow close to all my clients that I've worked for and I love putting a smile on their faces. I'm a reliable person and I'm very honest. I have strong communication skills and would do anything for an opportunity. I think my biggest personal achievement is becoming a stronger member in the church. I have been a caregiver for 16 yrs i love taking care of people growing up i was the oldest so i had to take care of my mother who had many health issues and when i was 17 i got into the companies and did live in this is where my heart has always been i want to be a register nurse one day. Hello, my name is April and I have 10+ years experience working in the Home health care industry, and thoroughly enjoy it! I have provided care in homes and hospitals for a diversity of patients with Alzheimers, Parkinsons, dementia, and hospice needs. I am first aid and CPR certified, a CNA, and have started taking classes to become a nurse. I have had a variety of medical experience such as working in the University of Utah burn unit which required high medical standards. I have been told I am naturally compassionate and competent, especially when working with the elderly and disabled. I value honesty, hard work, and live a clean life style. I am also happy to help with light cleaning, meal prep., pets, and organizing/laundry. I have the upmost respect or the elderly. I've enjoyed when I had taken care of my mom just that closeness just being able to do that for her knowing that she took care of me on my life and now it was my turn to take care of her. I spent a few years prior to that helping my brother take care of my dad I would assist him with lotion on his feet and making sure he had what she needed dietary wise before he passed away.

I am a mother of two beautiful girls. One who is going to the U of U for a bachelor's in psychology, and another who is a full time mom. I have a beautiful granddaughter that is almost two. I am a family oriented person who loves to do outdoor activities of any kind. I have a passion for caregiving and always have. Hello my name is Mya! Hopefully we get a chance to meet but I'll tell you a little but about myself beforehand! I am a cerified nursing assistant and have been certified for two years now! My loving and understanding personality has made me the best caregiver I could be. I love my clients and if they have a smile at the end of our visit, I know I've done my best job. What I enjoy most in being a caregiver is getting to know my clients and building that connection so they are comfortable in their own home and they received the care they need. One personal achievement I am proud of is being able to achieve all the transfers needed for clients on my own!

Have been a CNA for about 6 years now. I initially wanted to be a nurse, but being a D1 student-athlete at Weber State, the clinical hours of nursing and the demands of softball did not work . I love relationship building and companionship as a CNA, that is what makes it all worth it. I recently received my B.S in Healthcare Service Administration and am pursuing a dual master's degree of healthcare and business administration.
