I am Virginia Board Certified Nursing Assistant with over five years of home health and assisted living care. After raising four children I returned to school and became certified as a Home Health Aid, Nursing Assistant as well as Phlebotomy Tech. I believe that everyone has the right to quality care, and an advocate to ensure they are treated with dignity and respect. Raising four children has taught me that one must always use and implement active listening skills as well as expect the unexpected. Ive always felt that taking care of people was my calling. I love every aspect of it, everyone you meet has a different story to tell so why not have a reason to spend time with them and listen to who they are. When it comes to caregiving there isn't one thing that i could say i like more than the other, simply because I cherish every moment. When it comes down to being a caregiver I dont look at it as a job, to me its more of taking care of a family member I've never met before.

I became good with her care that a stranger pulled me to the side and offered me a job to care for her husband at home. I am Certified Personal Care Giver and have Certificate in Nursing Assistant. In addition, I have training as Personal Safety Assistant at INOVA Fairoaks, Virginia working in ICU and ER sitting with suicidal and dementia patients.

Certified in CPR PCA certified (Personal Care Aide) I love being a caregiver, I love helping anyone I can. I have helped take care of all of my grand parents and they were thankful enough to have family to care for them in their last days but iv always taken care of people who didnt have that and no one deserves to be alone at the end of life. My goal is to help them enjoy their last days weather its talking, reading, playing games, coloring or just being there to have someone to sit with them. I am now certified as a PCA personal care aide as well as CPR I plan to go to school to further my education so i can also work in nursing homes. I worked with a boy with autism for 8 years as well. He became like my little brother. I dont mind working on either spectrum. As long as i can help make their lives a little easier and put a smile on their face then im doing what i aim to do.
