I am a licensed CNA with over 15 year's experience as both an hourly and an in-home 24 hour caregiver. I have many year's experience in other related healthcare fields as well and am also a Licensed Veterinary Technician. I have Nurse Delegation certification, BLS/HCP CPR and First Aid cards, as well as Mental Health certification. The last 2 1/2 years I've worked with predominantly one client providing care for all the activities of daily living (including transportation) and companionship as well as acting as a healthcare advocate. I've also spent 4 years with an Alzheimer's client providing in home care including physical therapy assistance and hospice. I have provided care for clients with multiple health concerns including hypertension, stenosis, heart disease, depression, paralysis, digestive disorders, and cancer. I also worked during my training in a nursing home. As a side note, I have learned tremendously for 5 years the many aspects of case management acting as a POA and Healthcare Representative/Advocate/Case Manager for a family member and other clients so am able to provide those kind of services as well if needed. I previously worked as a Veterinary Technician for 16 years and in a prior position provided at home medical care for my client's pet as well. I can also provide Clerical Support as in prior positions I reviewed/maintained medical and other records, facility admission/release forms and contracts, mental health assessments, legal documents, and auto and homeowner's insurance policies. For 40 intermittent years I have care for many different types of people who needed assistance and help with their daily lives. I very much enjoy caring for alzheimers patients and also dementia. I want to be a caregiver because I love to help others no matter the age growing up with 6 brothers and 4 sisters me being the first girl 4th kid being the middle child everyone always comes to me and my mother taught us to help others as others will help you. The things that I like about being a caregiver is knowing that I'm helping someone that may need a little more hands on support for whatever that someone depends on me as my babies and family always has. I proud to be a strong person overall daughter, mom, sister etc. I' m proud of my high school diploma. My achievements consist of thing I have been through in life but still standing regardless. I am a proud mother of 3 small children and a adorable puppy. I spend my days usually doing house work like painting, gardening, playing with the puppy until my babies get home that's when my day really starts. I enjoy arts and crafts, cooking, singing, dancing, picture taking and whatever my babies love to do. I do all this and more for my 62 year old mother that has lupus, rheumatoid arthritis,memory loss, bone issues or other medical terms.

I have been caregiver since 2012. It started with my mother-in-law. I have my HCA licence as well as all my retirements to be a caregiver. I love working with people and helping others.

My Patience and Excellent listening skills are what make me a great caregiver. My relocation from California 21 years ago to help my grandmother recover from a stroke made me see my true compassion for helping others. I have 20 years experience in the field 19 of which I have been certified and proud to say I've never had to have it taken away from me for any reason.
