I am enthusiastic and enjoy working with the elderly. I am a loyal and faithful companion. I was first attracted to caring for the elderly through my grandmother who simply needed someone to understand. I have taken care of my grandmother my mother and many elderly since then. What I enjoy most about caring for the elderly his to give them a reason to smile, laugh and be happy in their own environment and being their own selves. Some of my personal achievements that I am extremely proud of was a dementia patient who no longer enjoyed painting and with my enthusiastic caring she started painting again. Another elderly lady with Alzheimer's who had forgotten that she loved the outdoors and to walk for exercise. We started sitting on her front porch enjoying the birds and butterfly's and walking down the road for exercise. She even challenged me to a race, LOL. Then another was afraid to take the escalator, she was afraid she would fall. With no other way out, I helped her walk right onto it with no trouble. There was a gentleman that had not fed himself in many years, with my encouragement he was eating by himself again with no assistance. These are just a few of the accomplishments with the elderly that I am thankful that I was able to Help with and Witness.

I am very hardworking and dependable and love to develop a loving and caring relationship with my clients. What attracted me to become a caregiver is because there are some people that do not have family and they often become sad and give up on life. I want everyone that I care for to know that I am not only a caregiver, but I am someone that you can call on at anytime. One of my personal achievements that I am proud of is to know that my clients love me and that I make a difference in their lives.

I am a 23 year-old who enjoys taking care of people. I am big on family and respect I believe you should treat others as you would like to be treated. Often times I like to emphasize my clients situation to understand how they may feel. I approach my clients with the same care as I would approach my children with care, kindness, gentleness, and compassion. I knew being a caregiver was the right job for me because I've always believed in giving. Providing care to the elderly gives me great gratitude in knowing they too were once young and were able to do for themselves where as now they can't do much, and the young is able be some assistance. I am a very optimistic and energetic person. I am very passionate about things that I do and people around me. I became interested in being a caregiver after my grandmother became sick and I started to care for her. I felt that since she did so much for me making sure she was as comfortable as possible was the least I could do for her in the end. I am very grateful to have the opportunity to be there and help other families in need who are going through similar things as me.

I have been caregiving since I was 18. I have worked with numerous services from adolescents to geriatrics. From mental disorders to just being a companion. I do light cleaning for patients. I document everything for families and my employer to know what is going on. I love being a caregiver. I get close to my patients. I've even sat with my own family. I'm in school for my RN degree. My life goal on day is to be a doctor and have my own practice.
