I am enthusiastic and enjoy working with the elderly. I am a loyal and faithful companion. I was first attracted to caring for the elderly through my grandmother who simply needed someone to understand. I have taken care of my grandmother my mother and many elderly since then. What I enjoy most about caring for the elderly his to give them a reason to smile, laugh and be happy in their own environment and being their own selves. Some of my personal achievements that I am extremely proud of was a dementia patient who no longer enjoyed painting and with my enthusiastic caring she started painting again. Another elderly lady with Alzheimer's who had forgotten that she loved the outdoors and to walk for exercise. We started sitting on her front porch enjoying the birds and butterfly's and walking down the road for exercise. She even challenged me to a race, LOL. Then another was afraid to take the escalator, she was afraid she would fall. With no other way out, I helped her walk right onto it with no trouble. There was a gentleman that had not fed himself in many years, with my encouragement he was eating by himself again with no assistance. These are just a few of the accomplishments with the elderly that I am thankful that I was able to Help with and Witness.

Greetings everyone!!!! My name is Katrina and I am from Bainbridge, Ga. My personality traits to make me a great caregiver is that I love to help people. I am very hardworking and dependable and love to develop a loving and caring relationship with my clients. What attracted me to become a caregiver is because there are some people that do not have family and they often become sad and give up on life. I want everyone that I care for to know that I am not only a caregiver, but I am someone that you can call on at anytime. I'm a compassionate, patient, honest, and energetic caregiver. I became a caregiver in middle school when my father had a massive stroke, which paralyzed his right half of his body. I had to learn proper body mechanics, grooming, learning and sorting medications and assisting with daily living. As I got older I started working with The State of Florida. I really enjoy helping people because one day I'll be in the same situation and would want a compassionate caregiver to take care of me. I also really enjoy making people smile everyday it makes me happy knowing that I make people feel positive when I am around them. My oldest child is 30 years old, I also have a 21 year old, and a 13 year old. My children are my greatest achievements and they are where my caregiver "carrier" truly started. They taught me a great deal of patience, they taught me to be reliable and flexible. All are things that I use in my caregiver profession still today. Through them I have learned I love helping people. When I have a client they become a second family to me. For me seeing the smile of a family member I have helped leaves me with a worm fuzzy feeling that cant be explained. Hi. My name is Teresa D. Johnson. I am an EHS, which is an Early HeadStart Teacher. I have worked at a Private Daycare for the last past years teaching students. Although, now this is my second year teaching students at HeadStart School and yes I love it. However , my most loveable experiences skills are working as a Caregiver, Sitter, Private Sitter, Private Duty, and CNA. I have worked over 30 years in Caregiver field. Some have been through Agencies, Homes, in Hospitals as Private Sitters, Sitters, and etc. My mother at the time was my very first patient. I loved it and desired my heart to continue to for-fill my passionate towards others and that's what attracted me to becoming a Caregiver. It blessed me knowing that I could provide the needs to others as I did for my mother ; after her deceased. My heart desires were to treat others in the field of caregivering like my mother's love, which was a personal achievements for me. Finally, I loved most about being a Caregiver is this, if you don't love what you are call to do in this lifetime and you can't show love as the word of God says to do. Truly, that field of work is definitely not for you.
