Being in the healthcare field for over 10 years, had shown me the importance of helping ones to be able to stay at home with assist. I have rehabbed many to assisted living, ECF, and home settings throughout my career. I love working with all ages but most experienced with geriatric population. I have been a Certified Nursing Assistant for 24 years . I started as a DSP in 1996 then I went on to school to be a Certified Nursing Assistant. I work @ Memorial Hospital then I went on to work in long term facilities, Rehab, private duty, Respite care. I enjoy working with ppl especially the elderly. I am a mother of 3 children (& multiple God children) and a grandma of 6 (as well as multiple God Grandkids!) I always have a house full of kids! I worked in the healthcare field for years. I love working with children as well as elderly and disabled people. I have worked in Nursing homes, group homes, hospitals, and State facilities taking care of children, elderly people as well Developmentally Disabled and Mentally I'll individuals. I am a people person and love to work with people! I am very dependable and I am a very fast learner. I listen to the needs and concerns of the individual(s) that I am taking care of (working for) and I try to take care of everything asked of me. I address concerns immediately and try to resolve them (or ease them) to the best of my ability! I love to have fun. I am a home body, I don't party. I am excellent with children and children seem to really like me. I can cook, clean, give medicine if needed, swim, go to the park, take children to extra curricular activities, give baths, and put to bed with a bedtime story if that's what needed. I've done it all!!

My personality trait is just being able to be there to help them in they home or group home I would help with whatever they need. Bathing, assisting with clothing, assisting with laundry and just talk to them make sure they comfortable. What attracted me to being a caregiver is when I know I can make someone's day better I love you just help the elderly. I enjoy going to work and helping my clients and being able to just help them with whatever they need done. I'm proud of achieving my goal to become dsp certified and just to be a caregiver period I love seeing them happy In they own space.

During the course of my academic career, I also managed to accrue nearly 25 years of work experience. I have the privilege of working for SIU School of Medicine as a medical office associate where I have learned valuable professional skills such as customer satisfaction, customer service and scheduling. I have over 20 years of experience working in the health care field with the elder and disable adults I truly take proud in helping others for me it is a very rewarding job.
