I have worked in a caregiver role as a Social Worker for the elderly for 27+ years. I have previous experience as a caregiver in a home environment as well as in an adult foster care and assisted living setting. I worked in the emergency room of a hospital for 5+ years as an aide. I worked as an EMT for 15+ years for 3 different ambulance services. So, quite extensive experience working with people.

My name is Minie Kemokai. I'm 21 years old. I was born in Africa Liberia, I move to the U.S with my family in 2012. I'm a student at North Hennepin Community college, I'm majoring in Nursing. I'm a caregiver because I'm very passionate I love caring for people in need, making sure everyone around me gets treated with respect. I enjoy being a care giver because I get to work and meet amazing people from around the world and learn new things. I am a caring and loving person. I enjoy providing care for seniors with or without dementia. My favorite part of caregiving is hearing the personal story of each individual. I also seek to provide the companionship we all need.

I am currently Residential Services Coordinator at Mary T. Inc, and I am a Professional Direct Support Staff, (DSP). Paul Both is so kind, passionate and professional caretaker or giver with Christian rich background knowledge and expertise about how to work and care with Alhzeimer patient. Duties: Scheduling, administration of Medications, appointments and outings in the community. Why I do this job: I have a great passion for suffering people and I have great love to help people from their suffering they might experience because I have been in a great suffering myself when I was in a refugee camps many years ago. I believe I am a great caregiver because I love people, family, Community, and I care deeply for people or about God's people, because I always reminded myself about where I come from and I normally put myself in people's shoes too. Also, I have been working as a nurse assistant, social worker, Missionary, and teacher for many years and I am still doing it currently. I am also a family man and beloved uncle everwhere I go. More importantly, I have the great love, and respect for God and his beloved Son, Jesus Christ and God's people. Above all, making someone day happy and making people smile is my chief goal and my top priority.

I am happiest and most fulfilled while caring for others. I fell in love with nursing in 1978 when I started my first job as a Nursing Assistant. I found that I was not only doing a job, I was caring for a person with an extensive life history that I could learn from. People who had family who loved them but were no longer able to care for them. I went on to get my LPN in 1986 and finally RN in 2012. I have provided care in Nursing Homes, Assisted Living Centers, private care in homes, Home Care through agencies and have cared for my patients and their families with integrity and compassion. Aging parents have caused me to reevaluate the need for flexibility and the availability to now also provide care for them. This means the typical nursing block schedule is no longer a good fit for my families needs. I will continue to provide compassionate care for others but it will look different than it has in the past.

1. I'm a Certified nursing assistant( CNA and also a certified medication aid (TMA) starting as a RA than CNA and now a Trained medications aid. Have a excellent experience in this field for 14 years. 2. I always wanted to be a RN . 3. Helping people achieve their daily goals, Seeing residents happy that they have achieve their meaningful goals on a daily basis makes me happy that I could be a part of their dreams come true. 4. Making sure residents or clients are well taken care of and meeting their daily goals.

I love helping people and being a care giver and companion. I love the reward that comes from helping people and I really enjoy it. I'm proud of the strives the individuals I have worked with made over the years, it feels great being apart of the happiness and progress in people's lives.
