Hi my name is Maritza Pedro I believe what makes me a great caregiver is that not only do I have 6 years of experience. I started really young at this when I was 20 years old. So therefore for me taking care of our elderly has been the most rewarding experience because I have learn so much and truly love what I do. Being a caregiver is something I really enjoy. I love being able to help elderly and children with their daily lives. I have family who needed 24hr care and I personally seen how hard it can be on the family but also the patients. What makes me a good caregiver is i like to sit down and listen to the individual and the family to find out their concerns and fears and how they want things to be. I respect all rights and will not over step my boundary. I'm a good listener and companion. I became a care giver after taking care of my grandma while she battled with cancer. It was a hard and emotional time but after she passed. I learned that we became closer and during that hard time we also had many good times. So in the end results i became a care giver to become a companion and to help others when help is needed.
