I'm a mother of 5 and grandmother to 13. I've worked as a caregiver for the last 15+ years and counting. I love my clients and working with the elderly. What started out as a job became second nature and probably alot of that has to do with my cultural background. I loved it so much, I paid for my own training and certifications to be an independent caregiver. I got bonded, insured and registered with the state and I have several great references from the loving families of those whom I have cared for over the years. I've had great experiences with those who I have worked for and with, along with learning from wonderful nurses and doctors that I've interacted with during the care of many of my clients. I am very proud of the achievements I've made in taking the initiative to learn as I go with each client, and each client came with various conditions and ailments, and some with multiple conditions. It has been a great journey of growth and connection for me like no other and I find it so fulfilling to be able to help our elderly population in need. They have been all like family.

I am compassionate and empathetic, genuinely caring for my fellow man. I am a good listener who pays attention to detail, and I pride myself on being self-sufficient. I have completed training in various courses through The Public Authority of Santa Clara County, including topics such as the last phases of life, mental health, nutrition, personal care, pre-paramedical studies, Alzheimer's and dementia basics, first aid, diabetes, and CPR, among others. As the oldest and only girl among four siblings, I inherited the role of caregiver at a very young age. I started as a babysitter and later moved into adult care. I have remained a caregiver because I enjoy meeting people from all walks of life and different parts of the world. Each person is unique, and their shared experiences often come with valuable knowledge and lessons. For me, there is no greater satisfaction than going home at the end of my workday, knowing that my presence made a difference in someone else's day and that I am appreciated.

I've spent the last 15 + years caring for my teenagers, their friends and their schools. if there was a place to help out I was usually there, and often stayed for years. my work experience is mostly in office administration, but this is not what I want to return to. I studied to be a drug and alcohol counselor, but would like to be able to help others as well, so I am looking into caregiver work. I would like to do something meaningful, and that I enjoy. I am a quick learner, and always up for a challenge. I have a ton of patience that I have developed over the years. I love learning new things, and I love helping people. I first became a caregiver for my mother after she had a stroke. After she passed away after me taking care of here for 6 years Then I realized how some people don't have anyone to take care of them so here I am to help.

I'm good at what I do. I'm very reliable and I work hard. I started being a care provider from my moms friend and I enjoyed helping her until she passed away. I enjoy helping people that need my help that can't do things for they self. My personal achievement would be that I'm a hard working man I'm able to get up and go to work everyday without regard.
