I have worked with the elderly for quite some time. I appreciate our older people, and I tend to get along with everyone I meet. I have many years of experience in this field and never get tired of doing the work. I have realized as the years have passes how undervalued older people have become, and it makes me sad. I have also seen how prevalent depression is in the elderly and how the right person or gesture can help. i worked in assisted living and seen how a supervisor was treating the clients and together we fought to get her out. I have also seen them mistreated by physicians who won't treat them due to their age. i think everyone regardless of age should be treated with dignity and respect. Our older people have so much to offer if you just take the time to listen. I once thought that I couldn't do this job anymore, but i realize it is where my heart and passion is

I enjoy being a caregiver as a way of giving back to my community. I have experience in baking, cooking, and cleaning, and I have two children who love the outdoors. I would like to think of myself as personable, outgoing, and generally happy person, and I will never turn down ways to make life easier for my clients.
