Since a child I've always wanted to be in the health field , I grew up trying to help as many people as I possibly could . During my final year of middle I applied to the Academy of health professions program at Gainesville High School where I spent my four years of high school learning about the health field . Before Graduating I was able to sit for the state CNA exam where I earned my license and have been practicing since. What I enjoy the most about the health field is being able to make a change in patients lives . Even if I can't change their outcomes I know for certain I can change their moods and put a smile on their faces just by listening to what they have to say and reassuring them that I'm there for them . I was attracted to caregiving because I really enjoy helping others and making a difference in people's lives. I enjoy the relationships that have developed in my experience with being a CNA. I never thought that I would be able to do this type of work, and by having an open mind to try something new, I discovered that helping others is quite intuitive to me as well as extremely rewarding.

I'm a single mom of 2 kids, a 15 yr old daughter and an 11 year old son.I enjoy working with elders as well as developmentally disabled, and have since I was in high school when I volunteered in our special needs class. I am a very caring, kind person who believes that an elder should be able to live in their own home as long as they can safely do so, and I enjoy being able to give them that ability. I was a CNA at one point, but lost my certifications due to choosing to be a stay at home mom (while I was in a relationship with my sons father). I do have some physical limitations as I can not lift dead weight, however, I am willing to do anything asked of me within my limits.
