I grew up in a diverse town called Lakewood, NJ. I have been working with people since 1994 beginning in the school system with students with behavioral and learning disabilities for 10 years (Howell BD OF Education) I worked for the state of NJ as a Youth Worker with juveniles that were classified serving time . I have nearly 10 years experiencing working at the Emergency Children's Shelter/Shore Youth Center. in Tom's River. Since 2006 I have been working at a MICA residential group home for men. I have worked these jobs because i wanted to make a difference in the lives of at risk youth, in many ways it's like a spiritual calling. Helping families during touch and challenging times has rarely been a problem for me in nearly 30 years, i look forward to going to work. Numerous times i worked 1 to 1 as a mentor providing wraparound services to youth and families in the community. As an former athlete i understand the true meaning of teamwork. In my spare time i write poetry translating the art of of professional artist as well as for my future poetry book. My personal goal is to establish my own outreach program in which i can provide services to the homeless population mobily , i assisted as a volunteer at Tent City in Lakewood. I am trained in basic First Aide/CPR, medication monitoring, safety, fire equipment , conflict resolution and many ongoing trainings annually.

As a caregiver, my nurturing nature and patience are my strongest personality traits. I've always been drawn to caregiving because I find fulfillment in helping others and making a positive impact on their lives. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is forming meaningful connections with those I care for and being able to provide them with comfort and support. One personal achievement I'm proud of is successfully helping a client regain their independence after a challenging recovery process, knowing that I played a part in their journey towards wellness.
