I am a natural nurturing person. I I decided at a very young age that I wanted to be a nurse or a doctor. I had a grandmother that suffered from Alzheimer's disease for 13 years. Majority of the time that she was sick I cared for her. I always knew I needed to get into the health field because I saw how important it is to have a support system. When you have someone in your family who can no longer take care of themselves it seems to have a ripple effect with everyone surrounding them. At some point we could no longer take care of my grandmother in the house so we had to hire a home health aide and in doing so I really grew to appreciate the nature of the job. You become an extended family member you grow great bonds with your clients or patients and their familes. I love being an aide.

My name is Tiara I'm 25 years old, when I was 18 my grandmother fell ill and there was nobody that we felt could give her the around the clock skilled care she needed without going into a facility (which nobody would have allowed to happen) so I began caring for her myself, following under the direction hospice had given. I began turning her as needed aiding in her mobility so she wouldn't lose the use of her legs, hand over hand feeding her. Anything she needed I was there and I realized I didn't just like to help but instead it gave me a good feeling to know I was doing more then just assisting I was a companion. She was no longer"down in the dumps" it's a wonderful feeling. I'm a very honest easy going person, I've got a habit of always seeing the brighter side. I enjoy reading and cooking in my free time. Im currently awaiting my test for my cna certification and soon after I will be bridging to LPN.

My passion for helping others really started when my brother was diagnosed with Mercer and caused him to be paralyzed from the chest down. I also have a grandma with Alzheimer's and have helped my mother care for her. I love to spend time with people and enjoy helping others.

I have always enjoyed taking care of people and helping every way that I can. I took care of my nanny for 4 years before she passed and that is what initially made me become a care giver. I believe the most essential asset that I have is I know what my patients experience and relate to they way they feel. I was in a bad car wreck 3 years ago, and I was disabled and could not walk for a year. I was put into a nursing home for rehabilitation and was not able to do anything for mysel .

Hello! I love caring for an individuals needs. I'm kind, considerate and patient. Ive worked with a variety of individuals from elderly to young disabled adult and hospice. Most of my experience has been as a private caregiver. I found my passion as a caregiver over 20 years ago when my father needed hospice and I saw the lack in the basic caregiving. I then saw a need for caregivers who actually care for the individuals and their families.

Honestly, I never thought being a caregiving would be something I would want to do. However, helping with my friend's son and helping with my Granny while in her stages of dementia gave me a whole new outlook. I have always been a nurturing person and have always babysat but being able to help take care of a non-verbal preteen and my 84 year old Granny and seeing and hearing the peace come over my parents and my friend, gave me a satisfaction I had never known before. Working at the Ronald McDonald House and meeting so many family and sometimes patients, gave me a sense of belonging. These families thought of me as their own family because I always tried to go above and beyond to comfort them and make them feel at home while their loved one/ones were fighting to survive next door in the hospital .
