I became a caregiver because of my mother, At the age of 10 my mother died and I couldn't do nothing to help her. So I decided to get in the medical field for that reason. I love helping people, I understand how difficult it is to ask for help so being able to show someone it's ok to need help is something I pride myself in doing. I helped my great grandmother for 2 years as a caregiver and I'm proud to say I made a difference in her life and the quality of our family life.

I am very easy-going, I get along with everybody. I am very OCD so it wouldn't be a problem for me to clean, I am 17 in two weeks. I had to grow up taking care of my sick grandmother, so I know how to handle that type of situation. I have transportation and I am free 24/7!

Recently my mother has been diagnosed with cancer. She also has an amputated leg which is really hard for her to get to certain things. Seeing her that way and helping her has made me realize I would love to help others in need in the same situation as she is. I have been looking to be a caregiver for a long time just have not gotten to doing so.

About Me ......... I love doing what I do. I care about my residence / patients so much, everyone should have unconditional love with care regardless of a care plan. I have experience in hospice and more. When I work with a resident / patient I work as if I'm taking care of a family member! A good day for me will be changing someone's life by giving them the best care.

One thing that attracted me most about being a caregiver is the relief in the patients eyes to see that you really care about them rather then just another patient. The thing I enjoy most about being a caregiver is being a companion to a person who is in need. A few personal achievements I am very proud of is graduating high school and continuing my education to be a registered nurse.
