I have worked as a caregiver ever since I came to this country. It has been my true passion to provide care and companionship to the elderly since in El Salvador where I come from we take care of our elderly, love them, respect and are thankful at all times. I cared for my mother until the last day of her life. I have many years of experience providing care for elderly patients and now disabled children. I take pride in everything I do and I like to do the best I can in anything I do. I love proving companionship and seeing that I brighten someone's day by being part of their everyday lives knowing they are happy when I'm with them is very rewarding. I'm easy going, friendly and get along with my co workers and my employers have always loved me.
I began care-giving in November 2012 with my elderly grandmother, who is now 100. I have also provided care for people outside of my family as well. I am very compassionate, patient, thorough, and trustworthy. I fell into care-giving, as my mom needed help caring for her mother 6 years ago. I'm good at what I do, because I really care about helping people. My family is important to me. I have volunteered at animal shelters, and I enjoy long distance running.
I first became a Certified Nursing Assistant 15 years ago after my first child was born. I then realized the joy I had while caring for individuals and learned to love what I did. The one on one care with individuals is the best, especially when I see their faces light up when I walk into their room. It makes me feel and know without a shadow of a doubt that I am doing my job correctly. I've learned to have patience and my compassion and empathy have increased tremendously. My next goal is to continue my education and receive my BSN. I have four kids now and a loving fiance that supports my dreams in becoming a nurse.
I love taking care of people. I'm very compassionate and loving also hardworking. I'm a CPR certified and going to school for nursing. I truly do care about my patients and! I listen to them and love to get to know them. I have taken care of some of the most amazing people. My recent client died. He had lung cancer- final stages , tumor and dementia. I truly did have a great chance to get to know someone amazing. I also go beyond the care ones needs. I have taken care of special needs ones from childcare and adult! I also developed caregiver service. I look forward to helping more with love and care.
What makes me a great caregiver is that i always put my patients feelings and needs first before doing anything else my job is to make sure my patients are satisfied even if that's just being a ear to hear companionship is very important. I've always wanted to become a CNA so that I can help those In need. I enjoy being there and helping others. My long term goal is to take a further step in the nursing and become an LVN.
I am currently a pre nursing student with a passion of helping others. With a creative side to me, I have an open ended side allowing me to adapt to all kinds of people with love for diversity. I have grown up helping or wanting to get involved in helping others around me whom are sick or recovering. I'd love to be a part of your journey as well!

I have always had an interest in the medical field as a child. My mother has been sick for a long time and I have caring for her since I can remember. It is something that comes natural to me. After graduating from Charter College in Long Beach,CA as a medical assistant, being able to properly care for others has been one of my greatest accomplishments. I am a peoples person, so I am very easy to get along with. Waking up with energy and a positive vibe is always a must in my life, and putting a smile on other people's face is my everyday goal.
