I worked at St Vincent hospital as a patient safety assistance I kept my patients safe I assisted them with restroom duties, feeding, walking, I played games with them watched television I became their companion. I've worked with people with all types of elements even hospice, ages from infants to 104 years of age. I also work with the seniors at my church. I'm a very nurturing person. Hello my name is Jazzmine Berry, and I have been in the caretaking field for a little over 4 years. What attracted me to being a caregiver is my unconditional love for people especially the elders! While being a caregiver I enjoy the fact that I am able to help someone out in life and gain them as family.

I had my own daycare for 20 years. I been taking care of children since my first brother was born when I was 6. Other people's children at age 13, newborn and a 12-year-olds. I have babysat or I have been a surrogate mother to many children when they needed it. Was a Foster Mom for many years. Love people, but have a special aptitude for children, elderly and handicapped. I feel being a caregiver just comes natural for me, I have always loved helping others and working in the health care field. I like knowing that at the end of the day I have made life a little better and easier for someone who can no longer or never has been able to do the everyday task that we { Healthy People } sometimes take for granted. A personal achievement I am proud of is going back to school at almost the age of 40 and graduating with a certificate in Phlebotomy and then working 8 yrs in that field all while raising two small girls. I am a 48 year woman who has successfully raised two beautiful daughters and I am now a Grandmother to my beautiful one year old granddaughter and soon expecting another grandchild. 1. I enjoy working with people and helping anyway that I can. I've been a manager at an apartment complex for 18 years and I like dealing with the public meeting new people. I knew I was suppose to do something other than work in an apartment. After really thinking this is what came to meet. I would make a great companion for the elderly. I think that that's what they want mostly. Just someone to talk to and most important someone that will listen. 2. Helping them and getting to know them. 3. That I raised all 3 of my girls and now they are beautiful women and successful. 4. I have 3 daughters and 3 grandsons. I'm married to a wonderful man. I'm excited to start my career as a CNA. I know I will be great at it.

I have always told others that I not medically inclined until almost three years ago my now 5 year old grand son almost drowned in our pool. Man had given upon him surviving. His parents were told that they would be provided with medically assisted suicide. To this day I have been thankful they did not go that route. I learned how to perform trachea change, g-tube feeding and administer medications via his G-tube, comfort him, I have talked many through and even out of major depression. I cared for my parents and grandmother who was a diabetic and those who had high blood pressure just to mention a few. I realized during these transitions that being a caregiver is such a critical player in a time of need because many family members are unable to stop their day to day lives and provide that much needed attention for their live ones. I promise to be loving and caring to your loved ones, they need the care and attention I have to offer.
