Hello my name is Jazzmine Berry, and I have been in the caretaking field for a little over 4 years. What attracted me to being a caregiver is my unconditional love for people especially the elders! I had my own daycare for 20 years. I been taking care of children since my first brother was born when I was 6. Other people's children at age 13, newborn and a 12-year-olds. I have babysat or I have been a surrogate mother to many children when they needed it. Was a Foster Mom for many years. Love people, but have a special aptitude for children, elderly and handicapped. I am a loving mother to 4 children, one of which is a Leukemia survivor. I have 3 years oncology care experience, I am trained in alzheimers/dementia care, I absolutely love working with seniors and see my clients as a part of my own family. After caring for my daughter, I began caring for my husband's grandmother, which I loved! Then began working with assisted living facilities and as an in home health aide. I enjoy learning all about my clients, assisting in their daily activities, and nothing means more to me than bringing a smile to their faces.

I have always told others that I not medically inclined until almost three years ago my now 5 year old grand son almost drowned in our pool. Man had given upon him surviving. His parents were told that they would be provided with medically assisted suicide. To this day I have been thankful they did not go that route. I learned how to perform trachea change, g-tube feeding and administer medications via his G-tube, comfort him, I have talked many through and even out of major depression. I cared for my parents and grandmother who was a diabetic and those who had high blood pressure just to mention a few. I realized during these transitions that being a caregiver is such a critical player in a time of need because many family members are unable to stop their day to day lives and provide that much needed attention for their live ones. I promise to be loving and caring to your loved ones, they need the care and attention I have to offer.

I have always loved to care for others . My first caregiver experience was caring for my family members. Overtime I started caring for others outside of my family. I enjoy helping others and bringing joy to others. What I enjoy most is the smile of clients face when I am with them preparing their meal, taking them shopping, watching movies, or just sitting back listening to them tell stories about their experiences. A personal achievement I'm proud of is obtaining my BA while working a full time split shift job.
