Hello! My name is Andrea, you may also call me Andy (for short) I've been a CNA since 2008. What's helped me enjoy my career more than anything is my residents & families. I consider everyone I have got the pleasure of taking care of like extra grandparents and I couldn't thank their families enough for sharing them with me. I've been trained & also have worked with Alzheimer's, & dementia. My grandmother whom I took care of for a couple years also had this disease. I've been trained on hoyer lifts many times. Also I've been educated on puree foods, thicken liquids & mechanical soft. I have a family of 2 of which I absolutely adore. My 13 yr old son & 1 yr old little girl. They keep me busy when I'm not working our summers consist of baseball games, swimming & learning something new everyday.

I have passion for what I love to do, which is to work with individuals who want to remain in their home after surgery, rehab, hospital stays, etc. I am a hard worker who is easy to get along with. I'm friendly. I enjoy learning new ideas/skills. I have over 10 years experience in this field.

Hello, I am a young energetic, helpful, and compassionate young woman that just graduated from Indiana University. As a caregiver I believe in working with the client versus working for the client. It is imperative to me as a caregiver to learn what's best for the client to provide personalized care. I am passionate about caring for others and working with them to be able to live and cope with daily life. Well I stayed with the company for 7plus years and I had one of my clients died on me we became very close and I have worked some ungrateful clients who were bossy mean out of the 5 clients I had 1 was I could not deal with anymore . I enjoy learning new things everyday. My favorite thing about being a caregiver is knowing that you can make a same difference in someone's life. Am most proud of my children .

I have been a CNA for 10 years, and have worked in all different situations in many different facilities. I aspire to go further with my nursing degree, and eventually, hopefully become an RN like my mom. I enjoy being a caregiver because it gives me a sense of purpose, I enjoy helping people. Many life lessons held dearest to my heart, came from the facility where I worked my first 2 years as a CNA. I currently work PRN for an agency based out of Indianapolis. Although I am through an agency, I have been steadily picking up at a facility in Franklin for over 5 years. I am searching for a PRN or part time option closer to home. I'm a single mother of 2 teenagers. I have 10 years experience in home health work and medical assisting.

During my childhood years, caring for my elderly grandparents was a part of my everyday life. They had several health issues and were in and out of hospitals frequently. I was exposed to caregivers in many different settings. The impact that kind, compassionate and informative care-giving made all the difference to me and my family. At the age of 12, I knew nursing was what I wanted to do with my life. As I pursued nursing, I started out caring for patients in a nursing home as a nursing assistant. I loved this, as I got to care for clients, just like my grandparents. The opportunity to establish connections with clients week-to-week was special! After nursing school, I moved to caring for patients in a hospital setting as a Registered Nurse. The hospital experiences have given me a broad scope of skills, whether it is assisting patients with basic self-care needs, changing dressings, managing ventilators or providing education, being able to establish a rapport with patients and their family's is still one of the favorite parts of my job. I love being able to help people understand what is going on with their health and their treatment plan. Just as others demonstrated to my own family, I want each of my clients and their family members to feel safe, cared for and heard.
