Hello, The reason why I decided to become a caregiver is to care for those who need extra company and care in their lives. Some of the treats I've been told I have that make me a good caregiver is being patient kind that those around me often come to for a laugh or good listen. An achievement of mine that I hold dear is the continuous thank you's I receive after volunteering at our daily bread for the past couple of months.

I personally feel responsible for the helpless ; I didn't know I needed a reason why. However, I have realized it's not for everyone. My name is Katy! A little about me I took care of my father when he was alive he was bed ridden due to amputation, diabetes and kidney disease. I have experience in Alzheimer's and Dementia care,Home health care as well as Assisted living care . Experience in transferring and Diabetic care. I became a caregiver because when my mother was sick with stage 4 colon cancer, I would help the caregiver who was helping take care of my mom. I would see how she took her time with her and she didn't even know her! There is not a lot of people out here that have that integrity and I loved her for that.
