Care giving can be a difficult but rewarding career. Seeing a patient being able to do something they couldn't previously do, is something unexplainable. When i went into healthcare, I was inexperienced other than just being a mother. I grew close to my patients and cared for them just like I would my own family. I have made personal bonds with patients and their families so strong that they came to me with issues/concerns to be resolved vs higher ranking employees. I put everything i have into helping others, to the best of my abilities. I am kind, patient, attentive, caring and a hard, dependable employee, dedicated to patient care and well being.
I have been taking care of the elderly for 17 years, I enjoy working with the ederly and brighten up there day. My personality is very outgoing and caring, I dedicate myself too making sure your live one is happy and taking care of to the best of my ability... I don't look at them as a patient I look at them as my mother or father because I wouldn't want anyone giving my parents anything less
I always look for what makes people happy, and what I can do to make their life a little easier. Not only am I benefiting another person, but its also benefiting me by knowing I am making a difference in someone's life. I love being able to brighten someones day and do activities with them to keep them active. A little more about me.... I'm a mother and a wife. I find joy in being able to help others and would love to help you!!
I am a register nurse and I retired in May 2014 when I moved from Reno, Nv. to Mckinney, Tx. After a year of retirement I missed nursing and the one on one contact with patients but did not wish to return to the shift work, overtime, week-ends etc, so I tried caregiving and loved it. I graduated from nursing school in 1966 and work steadily until 2014. I have worked in the areas of neurosurgical intensive care, renal dialysis, home health, psychiatry, alcohol and drug abuse. My last place of employment was the Washoe Co Jail in Reno, Nv where i worked for over 11 years as a psychiatric nurse. I am independent and self starting with a great work ethic. I approach each client as a unique individual with unique needs and desires and I encourage them to let me know what those are. I am patient and nonjudgemental. I like building a relationship of trust and rapport with my clients. I like the satisfaction of helping them to enjoy the highest level of health and wellbeing as possible. When I worked for United Health Care I was chosen as employee of the quarter.
