I come from a family of individuals who have dedicated their life to the bettering of less fortunate individuals. A mother who has worked with mentally handicapped children for over 20 years, an aunt and uncle who currently care for and assist mentally handicapped adults, and a cousin who also works with elderly persons to better their standards of living and independence. This instilled in me a sense of compassion for those who cannot care for themselves, and motivated me to join them in this mission. My favorite part about being a caregiver, has been those times when I was able to help share an experience with someone who otherwise may have never been able to enjoy it again in their lifetime. I also enjoy gaining insight from the wisdom that my clients have obtained over the course of decades before me. I especially am drawn to persons who have served in the armed forces, and lived through some of the roughest times in world history. They are the true hero's in this life, and often don't get the attention they deserve. While I recognize that certain tasks involve some level of discomfort for many individuals, such as bathing and even simply inviting a stranger into ones home, I have become accustomed to these struggles, and have learned how to minimize that apprehension, while still maintaining the clients decency and feeling of privacy. My goal is to provide the support needed to give back whatever the client feels they have lost, and give peace of mind to family, knowing that their loved ones are safe even when they cannot be there for them.

Over 20 yrs experience caring for people of all ages and abilities. 5+ yrs as a CNA in PDX first working in a small facility for people w/ HIV/AIDS then onto temping at LTC Facilities all over PDX. 18 years working for UCP, OR w/ adults w/ CP & intellectual disabilities. 5+ yrs as an "Enhanced Worker" HCW doing in-home care for Aging & Disability Services. Now certified in WA as a HCA to work in-homes. Additional interests & education include: Cosmetology, Naturopathic Assistant & Juice Bar Manager. Study Yoga, Tai Chi Chuan & Meditation. Some massage school experience too. Strong interest in Nutrition and Whole Foods Cooking & Herbs. I believe we are here to help and learn from one another and I chose caregiving because it allows me to really thrive while hopefully uplifting or at least easing the lives of those I work with.

My name is Jordan Fivecoats I grew up with my mom owning adult foster homes. I worked in the adult care home industry for over three years specializeing in Trumatic brain injuries. I started working At 18. When I was younger than 18 I volunteered at assisted living homes and helped around the house with activities and helping the residents eat, I read to the residents and just enjoyed helping them out, and that's what made me want to spend my time with elderly people.

I have been a caregiver for fifteen years and am very qualified. I enjoy assisting others with there needs and when they can no longer take care of themselves. Caregiving is something that I am very passionate about. I make sure that my clients are well cared for and show them respect as if they were my own family. I am a very outgoing and a motivational communicator with excellent in home care skills.

As a certified nursing assistant I have 22 years of experience working with end of life care such as Hospice, home aid and working with the elderly. I'm patient, kind, reliable and understanding of all situations. I enjoy working with people. I mostly enjoy working jobs where you have personal interaction and getting to people of all different backgrounds. The achievement that im most proud of is being able to care for those who can't care for themselves. I'm also vaccinated.

I have worked 25yrs in the medical field from activity director to CNA and medication assistant. I have my BSW in social work and CNA. I love working with older clients. Im Honest, dependable, caring. I currently work for a home health agency and have 2 longtime clients. I am looking to find one or two more. My current employer Visiting Angels homecare will provide references and background check info if requested. Im a 48yr old grandma and native oregonian. I currently cover gresham, boring, damascus, fairview and sandy oregon ares.

In 2014 I started caregiving. It wasn't something I planned on doing or dreamed about. I was in need of a job and a friend introduced me to the position. I have loved it ever since. I love getting to know people and their life experiences. Everyday is something new. All the different care plans and people are exiting to me. This helps me learn something new regularly and keep things from being mundane.

I am a 42yr old caregiver living and providing care in Gresham. I have been providing care since 2005 when my grandmother was diagnosed with cancer. I recognized a need for caregiving when my grandmother was unable to receive adequate care. After her passing I have continued to care for clients in similar and different positions. I love helping others and get joy out of providing comfort and adding to your best quality of life.

I Love working with seniors, being able to interact with them. Making them happy and feel that they are important. I am a happy person no matter how tough the situation is you will always see me smiling.
