I'm very patient when it comes to my residents I feel like being patient should almost be a requirement and understanding them as well. Although it's important for a caregiver to have stellar time management skills, it may be more important to display appropriate body language when you visit. What do you enjoy most about being a caregiver ? Spending time with someone grandma or grandpa getting to know them and just bonding with them like they're one of my own grandparents. What is a personal achievement you are proud of ? I am proud of myself for being so determined and never giving up always doing my best at whatever job I have and giving it my all so I should say one of my personal achievements is my work ethic .

Being prideful, positive, and empathetic makes me a great caregiver. As a kid, I'd always tell my parents that I want to do something great for someone. As I got older, my passion for working with the elderly grew! I would volunteer for local nursing homes & go and visit residents on my free time. The things I enjoy the most about being a caregiver are just being able to put a smile on someone's face & be their extra support when they need it! I am most proud of the personal growth such as self control and communication skills that I have learned over the years.

I became a caregiver due to my grandmother passing away & helping her while she was alive. After she passed I found a passion into helping people get better & continue to enjoy the time they have left. I became a caregiver because my grandmother suffer health issues that couldn't not be met in a traditional senior living facility so I took several class to learn all the cares she needed at the time. However one thing that I enjoy the most as a caregiver is smiles and laughter from a patient that's comfortable with the way I care for them. I decided to follow a career in the health field when I helped take care of my grandmother when she was in a nursing home for rehabilitation after a car accident. My older sister was always my idol. She became a nurse and I always admired her with her job and all that she does for other people who are in need. I decided to pursue in the same field. I enjoy helping others. I am a very giving and compassionate person. I take my job seriously, and don't expect anything in return. My reward is seeing smiling faces of those I help and knowing that they are completely appreciative of everything I do because I am not obligated to do so. I am proud of starting school to continue my education. I had financial issues and had to take a break, but I am determined to finish and get my RN. A little something about myself, I live on my own with my boyfriend and his 3 year old son. I also have a dog. I enjoy spending time with my family and my boyfriend's family. I am looking to add on to my small family, but the jobs I have had have not allowed me to be financially stable just yet. I am looking to get paid decently for all the work that I do as a CNA. CNAs don't always get competitive pay. Thank you for your time.

I became a caregiver as a young child. Helping my cousin, Brian, who had Downs Syndrome, overcome fears and succeed made me deeply happy. I worked my way through college as a live-in caregiver, and relived the joy I had as a young girl helping Brian love life. If I had to give one reason that sets me apart as a caregiver, it is this -- love making others feel safe, content, happy, and challenged. By that, I mean motivated to overcome problems and feel hopeful once again. Overall, I have been caregiving for 15+ years (except for the 20 years I taught school), and I give God the credit for placing the love and compassion in my heart for those who are suffering. When I help others, then I am happy.

I have had a passion for health care & mostly the elderly population since I was in Kindergarten. However, I enjoy helping anyone who needs my assitance. I became a care giver because of the need & my own self satisfaction of helping others. I am proud to say I have been a Medical Assistant for the past 20 plus yearsr but feel I have come to a point in my career where the clinic setting has becomemore of a business and not very personal & caring. In the office setting you are rushed to room patient's that it has taken over the personal touch that I was proud to give. I feel the home setting you can be one on one which probably makes the patient feel more comfortable & the focus of why we are there to help them. I enjoy helping others to make their lives as full and content for them as possible.
