Before I began my experience and interest, let me introduce myself. My name is Miheret I prefer going by Mercy. I am from Ethiopia. I enjoy reading books and hangout with my friends. I am a positive person, patent, listen more, friendly, hard working, and more Before I become a caregiver I was a cashier at retail store. I enjoyed working there but it wasn't what I need. However, I did not stay long because I need a job at the medical field which will help me to gain experience toward my goal. So I started by taking CNA class. Afterward, I start working a nursing home and home health aide. Currently, I'm working asRMA. I like being a caregiver and RMA because It makes me happy when I met their need. Being a good caregiver and RMA will benefit me to become a better nurse. All in all, I have a good experience of doing ADL and administering meds. Through my experience, I have learned and practice a good patient care and go by according to their need. I enjoy being a caregiver and RMA.

Am calm and patient, I started taking care of my parents and then I fell in love with caregiving and extended it to others , I love the fact that I could be a helping hand to someone in need of it, I love putting a smile on their faces. I learned to communicate with those who can't just by facial expressions and gestures. I love caring for people.
Compassionate, time conscious and dependable. The need to care for my aging mother attracted me to care for others. I enjoy the satisfaction that comes with making a difference in some ones life. Certificate of excellency from MBI health services where I have worked for three years.
I'm a down-to-earth nurse I love the simplest things. Like reading drawing listening to music. Sometimes dancing. I love talking to the residence because I get to know more about their lives about how they were when they were younger what they like what they dislike. I wanted to be a care giver because I love helping out the elderly as if they are my own grandparents since I don't have any grandparents. The things that I enjoy the most about being a caregiver is that bond that I form with them. That homie feeling of having the love of a grandparent. A Personal Achievement that I am most proud of is that I was able to help a late resident have a special moment with a loved one that they haven't seen for almost 20 years. That joy that I saw in her eyes when she saw that loved one made it worthwhile that I chose the right career.

I have always longed to help out people since childhood especially the elderly. Just reminding myself that they were once able to do everything by themselves ,drives me to wholeheartedly help them out in their activities of daily living. I want to see them live a better life than I found them . Always living a smile on their faces , bringing back hope of living in their hearts. My personality of being loving, caring , passionate and servanthood spirit are the driving forces which led me to this profession. One of my personal achievements is the fact that I have been able as a CNA to professionally and successfully work in an Assisted living facility on patients with dementia, alzeimers, combative behaviors etc.

Working as a team with both families and RNs and those part of care of plan has enable me to efficient with observing and assist with implementing care of plan.
Since a very young age I have always been passionate in helping and caring for others, I love making people laugh and smile. I realized that caring for people was my calling once I started volunteering to care for homeless Veterans and family members. I believe a good caregiver is someone who treats the Client as their #1 priority; Being truthful, loyal, and always patient; Passionate, dependability, pleasant, humble, being a good listener, observant and always being on time. Being able to work with tough clients and knowing how to adjust your approach to the client. Allowing the client privacy and listen to what they say. Treat the client as if their one of your family members.
