Hi, my name is Lynette. I'm a very nurturing and passionate caregiver of 14 years. PCA certified since 2005, Medication Technician certification since 2015, and CPR/ First Aid certified. I became interested in the healthcare field during my teenage years assisting my aunt with her patients. My most enjoyable moments of caregiving is being able to assist with daily living by giving the client as much independence as possible. Watching the excitement on their faces as they accomplish different tasks is so liberating. Most greatest achievement I'm proud of would be my capabilities and willingness to help service people with healthcare needs.

After my daughter grew up and moved out of the house, I decided to work as a caregiver. I started working as an CHHA for a big agency in NJ. I left the agency after 5 years, only because I moved to Virginia. I got my CNA license in 2018 and work since than with an agency in Virginia Beach. My friendly and caring personality makes it easy for clients to develop a trusting relationship with me. I treat every client with respect and dignity. I still have contact with some of my former clients from NJ. I live and work according to the motto: Treat every human being the way you like to be treated.

I have worked in the private duty setting for over 5 years and with individuals with variations of levels of assistance. I graduated from Tidewater Community College with an associate's degree in Occupational Therapy .I have assisted with ADL's and IADL's including bathing and dressing, feeding, money management, transportation with shopping outings, appointments and overall companionship with my clients. I feel that everyone should have a great quality of life, and with my genuine companionship as well as my skills, I'd be the great caregiver for your loved one. I will provide references upon request. I look forward to speaking with you and your loved one! Thank you for your consideration.
A great caregiver is someone who is kind, compassionate, and loving by nature. A generous, sensitive spirit can't be taught only given by the Creator Himself. Caregiving found me. The elderly, children, and animals bring joy to my heart. If I can bring a little peace and comfort into the life of another person I feel I've done what the Master called me to do. My career as a caregiver began by working in a nursing home facility over a year ago. I worked with respiratory patients, wound care patients, dementia patients, HIV patients, hospice patients, Alzheimer patients, and handicapped patients who had all of their faculties but because of missing limbs were unable to stay at home. I learned to give very basic to advanced care. While the level of care changed the one thing that remained constant was the need for a kind word. I was often asked to go into a room and communicate with a difficult patient because there was something about my calm voice and gentle nature that turned every tide into smooth sailing. I left the facility because it was heartbreaking. It should have been a place where every worker enjoyed working there. Instead finding someone who enjoyed their work was a rarity. I believe private duty will be much more fulfilling.
I love to help people , I started out assisting family members taking care of grandparents and then I just learned to enjoy their company how much wisdom they have.
