I started as a direct support professional for adults with developmental disabilities. I also have extensive experience with senior care, memory care, rehabilitation, & as a home care assistant. I love being a caregiver because I love taking care of people. I am a hard worker, very reliable, trustworthy, and I love to cook. I am currently taking some training to open an adult foster care. I just really enjoy doing this work.

Caregiving isn't for everyone, you have to have a great love for it and your clients! I've received Employee of the Month and Nurse Delegation certificate. I work for 2 locations under my company because I enjoy working so much! I truly enjoy the people I work for! I enjoy cleaning, organizing, grocery shopping, helping people get around and anything else I'm able to assist with! I love animals too!

I am very easy to get along with and have a great deal of respect for - not only my elders , but for people - in general. I am a good listener and can relate to or sympathize with most people. I have a warm heart and a good outlook on life. I have a great sense of humor and a good sense of reality. I have a 34 yr old son with cerebral palsy . Whom I have cared for all his life. I started caring for others in 2009 when I began caring for a friend.In later years I worked as a housekeeper in a retirement facility and I got to know the residents and really wanted to help so I became a caregiver in senior care . It made me feel so good helping people out. they really made my day! And it was totally worth it to hear them say I was making theirs! It is a win win . I am proud to help people . Its my nature . I achieved employee of the month in a facility . I was the only one in the year to get it.. I am very work oriented ,but yet fun to have around.. I am reliable and Always on time.

I can help with domestic duties including light cleaning, laundry, meal planning/prep, assist with appointment scheduling, transportation, shopping, and running errands. I can assist with bathing, offer companionship throughout the day, can engage individuals in meaningful conversations and activities based on their interests whether in-home or out in the community. I am willing to assist with specialty projects, home organizing, light gardening, and event planning. I am experienced in patiently instructing older adults how to use technology.
