I'm caring,compassionate, and I have a passion for working with the elderly. At an early age I began volunteering at the nursing home where my mother worked. I would help my mother assist residents on outings such as picnics,parades, fair,fishing trips and shopping. I like spending time and taking care of people. Helping them become rehabilitated if needed so that they can return home to their normal routine. I like being an active listener and assisting people with their needs. My personal achievement was going to college and becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant so that I would be able to work in a licensed facility taking care of others.
I became a caregiver because I love peoples and I like taking care of people. I like listening to clients helping them with there bathing reading to them taking them on walks if they are wheelchair bound just being there for them. One personal Achievement that I have acquired is I was able to fulfilled a wish for my son grandmother she had terminal cancer and did not want to be in a nursing home and I moved out of my home and took care of her until she passed. I am 55 years old have been a cna for over 30 years I have two children five grandchildren and I am in school I want to be a social worker married for sixteen year. I will have my AA this semester and will start school in the fall for my bachelor's degree .
I'M A GREAT CAREGIVER BECAUSE I LOVE PEOPLE. ELDERLY ESPECIALLY! MY GRANDMOTHER RAISED ME AND FROM HER I FOUND AN UNBELIEVABLE GIFT THAT REMAINS IN ALL ELDERLY PEOPLE. FROM WISDOM TO LOVE STORIES, FROM LAUGHTER TO TEARS, THEY ALL HAVE AMAZING LIFE. THEY ARE OUR BACKBONES, SO I LOVE GIVING BACK TO THE PEOPLE THAT HELPED US BECOME WHO WE ARE TODAY.
When I was taking care of my grandmother, I loved the way we talked about her life story. Taking walks with her. Caregivers go shopping with clients and going out to eat with with. I just love listening to them talk. I just love what I do. Its a privilege to walk in and give them a smile on their face.
I became a caregiver because I extremely enjoy helping others. I take a lot of pride in the work I do. I enjoy helping people who are no longer to care for themselves or have no family who can help. I have been in this field for a very long time. I have recently picked up sign language again and have mastered a good bit of the language and I am able to use what I know to communicate with a wonderful gentleman. All my kids are grown and I have a lot of time to helping others who may need it. I currently help out a 95 yr old gentleman and my own beautiful grandmother. I try to treat others the way I want my own grandmother treated.

I have worked in this field two years experience as a certified nursing assistant. My experience includes working with long term patients along with acute patients and rehab patients which seemed to appreciate me the most. I have handled many patients on my shifts and because of my size and strength could do a lot of extra work that others couldn't do. I have much coursework in nursing and college so I am well educated. I became a cna because I like helping and meeting different types of people. I also like the flexible schedules of nursing.
I wanted to become a caregiver because I am compassionate person and care about people. I love to listen and have a kind heart. My name is Stephanie, I became a caregiver because my farther became ill and no one wanted to take of him and I stepped in then his mother took over so that I could start a career in this field. Being a caregiver gives me a since of being needed by someone who enjoys and appreciates my services, my personal achievement as a caregiver is helping my clients feel comfortable, independent at some point and having some they can trust at all times. Some of my skills include bathing, showering, checking and changing undergarments, providing proper hygiene, ambulating, transfers, mouthcare, feeding, light housekeeping, meal preperation, transportation and much more. I am a caregiver that is compassionate at what I do and it is not just a job for me, it is my calling. So many people are in this field and do not genuinely care, but I like to make a difference in my clients lives and form a forever bond with my residents and their family members. I have experienced a lot being a caregiver, good and bad, but I honestly love what I do. I have lots of experience, and many families that I have worked with adore me. I am proud that I put forth an effort to become certified in what I do. It really does make a difference and shows that I maintain the necessary skills and training.
